Rather Lazy Sunday

crossover_chickDefinitely on the cooler side, and the cloudier -- though we had a pretty awesome-looking sunset this evening, I won't lie. But not exactly good "get up and go" weather -- I ended up skipping my walk. Bad of me, but I think I can risk it every so often. I blame TV Tropes -- I got reading some interesting articles this morning, and kept going back to it throughout the day. Happens sometimes -- what are you gonna do.
I did manage to do some other things today:
-->Wrote some more on Chapter 7 of "Fixing You" -- Victor and Alice explaining the backstory of the "Swell Who Walks Whitechapel" nickname, and Alice being absolutely baffled by Bumby's apparently devouring by a Ruin -- a creature that, by all rights, should only exist in her head. Recap stuff, admittedly, but I'm trying to keep it interesting!
-->Played some Sims 4 -- still with the McFlys. (Though weirdly today would have been good for the Van Dorts, given it's Corpse Bride's 13th anniversary. Ah well.) Poor Jennifer ran herself ragged trying to care for her two toddlers (I really hate how glitchy getting kids to eat in highchairs is -- if you try to get them to eat anything that isn't a specific highchair meal, the parents will take them OUT of the chair, the kid will grab the plate OFF the chair, and then go sit somewhere else to eat, cripes). On the plus side, she and Marty WERE able to get out and enjoy the "Night On The Town" holiday -- at the Spice Festival, no less! AND she became my second Sim to win the Spicy Curry Challenge -- good for you, Jen! :D And I was finally able to fix all the broken shit around the house, which was nice. AND give them proper "indoor" cold weather outfits, after a bout of chilly temperatures put everyone in hats and jackets indoors.
-->Watched a BUNCH of videos -- no Hells or Sim Supply today, but I watched Kubz Scouts's other two 60 Parsecs videos (Jay finally managed to get two non-death endings, though in both cases with only one person surviving -- once just because all the other crew members died, once because Jay tested out getting an ending with only one person aboard the escape shuttle), a couple of Deligracy videos (Deli failing an attempt to make a house without zooming or rotating the camera -- she kept making little adjustments on automatic -- and squeeing over some builds on the gallery -- including an awesome steampunk cafe I kinda wanna get :D), and a bunch of old OXBox videos (bizarre character origin stories, little ways in which old games were worse than modern games, and games which radically changed from initial development/trailers to the final product -- of particular note being Resident Evil 4, which ended up birthing TWO OTHER GAMES thanks to design changes (the original Devil May Cry and Haunting Grounds)). So that was fun at least.
-->And I got my Valice Multiverse queue done, so that's good. Keeping up with that, yay.
All right -- time to answer a few things in my inbox, and then -- hmm. Well, I do need to get the pictures ready for my next Sims update on VictorLuvsAlice. (At least this one should only be a three-parter at most. . .not that I mind having a lot to share with people, or having cool stuff happen in my game, it just takes a while to get all those posts set up!) And I might watch some other videos too. . . We'll see what happens. For now, g'night!
