Very Fall Monday
Sep. 24th, 2018 11:27 pmGloomy and rather cold -- the high was just below 60F. I did my workout inside, as you might imagine. Gotta get used to it, I suppose, as that weather is slowly becoming the standard again. Tomorrow and Wednesday it's supposed to warm up again, but tomorrow is definite rain, and Wednesday is probable rain -- possibly even thunderstorms. We'll see what happens, I suppose. It is almost October. At least I still have Halloween to look forward to.
It was a pretty quiet Monday off -- Mom was at school, then at her job, and Dad went out a couple of times, so I had the house to myself for pretty long periods. Had a bowl of soup for lunch, and popcorn for a snack (we had some hanging around, and I realized I hadn't had it in a while, and that it would be good on a cooler day like today). My main activities of the day were:
-->Writing some more on Chapter 7 of "Fixing You" -- poor Alice is having a bit of a cry again over that fateful night. Her family's being very quick to assure her that none of them blame her for what happened. It's a very bittersweet moment.
-->Playing some BioShock Infinite -- Elizabeth opens up "tears" to entirely different universes to get rid of bees. Hard Same, Liz. XD On another note, I remain not-that-great at combat and annoyed that I can only carry two guns at a time now, but even with that, I've managed to make it to the Hall of Heroes. Gotta get past the old war veteran trying to stage a revolt against Comstock now so I can finally get Shock Jockey. Though I did pick up the Bucking Bronco vigor -- kinda fun, flinging people into the air. Though in a pinch I always fall back on old reliable -- CROWS! XD What can I say, I like the crowd control.
-->Watching a bunch of videos -- I'm getting back to the parts of the saga of Jim Pickens that I already watched on CallMeKevin's channel. The chaos remains -- chaotic, but rather more understandable now that I've been watching from the beginning. :p The Sim Supply posted a house tour of the completed future Bigwallet Farm in Windenberg (it's pretty freaking epic! He did an awesome job designing it -- too bad the Bigwallets are going to need over 400,000 simoleons to afford it!), and tonight I had a set of Vampyr from Helloween (sidequests all over the place -- though Helloween accidentally burned a bunch of posters he meant to hang up by misinterpreting a prompt. Whoops. He did manage to absolutely wreck a bunch of Priwen, though. And discover a serial killer. Damn, this game is dark).
So yeah, pretty solid Monday off. I even got my Sims post for the week all queued up. :) Now I just gotta empty out the inbox before hitting the sheets -- back to the usual routine tomorrow! At least now it's a short week. Night all!
