Summer's Back For A Day
Oct. 10th, 2018 11:31 pmHot and kinda humid defined the weather for today. I'm not complaining, really -- I'll take the warmth for as long as I can get it. I am especially not complaining after hearing some of what's going on with Hurricane Michael. *wince* If you live in that panhandlely area, I hope you're doing all right. Sounds like a hell of a storm. We're due our own deluge of rain tomorrow -- and it looks like there's going to be plenty more next week too. Bleh -- I am not a fan of wet Octobers. But as long as we don't have a repeat of the year where we lost power and internet for a while. . .
Work was work -- constantly more problems to solve, and not enough time to do them all in. I got in my walk, though, which was nice. Got in another once I got home, and we had a nice supper. Forewent writing in favor of getting the latest chapter of "The Technicolor Phase" up -- Barkis Green, which is basically me smashing together the key moments of both the Bittern wedding reception and the climax at the church. Hopefully you all find it interesting! Almost time to wrap up the "rewriting Corpse Bride" section of this story, and move back to actually featuring some of the Alice characters. . . Oh, and I found a way around the < span > problem! Namely, do roughly the same as I do for "Fixing You" updates and use the FanFiction.net text editor. Copying from there I never have any problems, sooo. . . MUCH easier to do it that way!
After that was YouTubery -- another "mansion room build" video from James, showing how the formal dining room came together; and another Vampyr set from Helloween. He meant to go see Lady Ashbury about the main storyline, but we got distracted in finishing up sidequests. Namely, learning a few criminal pasts, encouraging a guy who killed a racist and then fled to the sewers to face the street-level world again, retrieving some money from some asshole Priwen guards who stole it off a lady, and meeting this sweet old woman with dementia whose son died recently. :( Yeah, this game has its fair share of depressing moments, I gotta say. But it's still good (except for the way it saves -- seriously, learning that has like pissed me off forever). Looking forward to when Hells actually gets to the main quest next time. :p
And now I just did some queuing on my main tumblr, and I have some stuff to answer in my inbox, so I'd best get to that. Busy beaver, all the time. . .night all!
