crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

Got the 10:04 post this time, hoorah~ Yeah, I know it's only one BTTF day of many, but this is the one where MARTY AND DOC (I almost wrote "Victor" there, is it obvious where my main fandom lies these days) go to the future, so I made an extra effort to catch this one. Wore my BTTF socks and Doc Brown sweatshirt too. Gotta keep at least a LITTLE of the Backie pride going. :)

At any rate, it was a pretty low-key day:

-->Did another Valice Shipping Week short -- a "Wonderland Fuzz" one, as that particular AU just keeps turning back up in my mind randomly. Also led me to a fun little video about the most expensive scene in the movie -- which is NOT one of the many scenes with explosions, but instead the scene where Nicholas and Danny are watching the two action movies in Danny's flat. Specifically, the fact that they used clips of said movies, and thus didn't only have to contact the studios, but also the people IN the clips -- including STUNTMEN. Yeah, I was surprised too. And then there's the DVD rack at the end with all the various movies in it, which they ALSO needed to obtain a bunch of permissions for. . . Ah well, money well spent in my opinion.

-->Watched a bunch of videos, including

A) Some OXBox/OXTra lists (moments where they said "eff this game," generally related to the game being too hard, too scary, or at one point too samey; and a list on characters who grew emotionally as their series went on/got rebooted (the Wolfenstein guy in particular now needs all the hugs))

B) Some Yandere Simulator stuff from Kubz Scouts (the guidance counselor now actually punishes you for stuff -- unless you know the right excuse; you can get the delinquents' weapons taken away or even get them expelled; the light music club is active and you can join the band -- and get locked into a buggy minigame; and there's new demons beneath the school, which is worrying)

C) Three videos from The Sim Supply (the building of the master bedroom and its walk-in wardrobe at the Bigwallet Farm, which involved a lot of playing around with the color scheme; another episode of his and Dr. Gluon's Bread To Riches stream -- they're now doing photos of customers, when they're not cleaning the counters (which is near-constantly XD); and the final episode of "Wags To Riches," which was an exercise in controlling Sim chaos -- it started off with all the pets sick and starving and just went full-out from there XD But, after quite a lot of Sim-herding trouble, James WAS able to end the series with a nice wedding for Katrina and Mario. So yay, closure!)

D) And the piece de resistance -- MIKE VS ANDY IN OXBOX'S HITMAN 2 GHOST MODE. This is a multiplayer head-to-head mode, where two Agent 47s must hunt down a target in separate but mirrored realities, and earn points via unnoticed kills of said target. Both players can kill the same target, but whoever does so first sets up a time limit that the second has to beat before the target is lost and a new one spawns somewhere else. Noticed kills don't earn any points, and you lose points for non-target kills. First one to five points wins!

Yeah, you'd THINK this would be a rout for Andy, who is the "methodical stealthy" player -- and indeed, Mike lost his fair share of points with noticed kills and non-target kills. What Andy didn't count on was Mike usually getting to the target FIRST, despite his constantly getting in combat and having to change outfits, and thus denying him the chance to kill the target because he was too far away or the kill would be noticed. And Andy had plenty of slip-ups of his own thanks to it, and -- well, final score of the match was a draw, 2-2, with Andy furious and Mike deeply amused by it all. Also, Mike managed to cosmically call up a sniper rifle from a crate at one point, so there's that. XD Oooh, there are going to be SO many good videos coming from this game from these guys. XD

-->Played Sims 4 -- ended up being another staying around the house trying to corral toddlers and laundry sort of day (both the washer AND the dryer managed to break, which was irritating). I DID manage to place the snowglobes Jennifer had in her inventory, though! About time. And Douglas is soooo close to maxing out all his skills. . . I might have him power through the last one last playsession so I can age him up for Winterfest. Seems like a legit plan!

And -- yeah, that's about it. Though I've got queuing to do on my ValiceMultiverse tumblr, and some stuff to answer in my inbox, and I'm DETERMINED to make a "one week til" post on my damn Valice Shipping Week blog. So gotta get on that now. Another full week of work looms. . .hopefully it won't be too stressful. Though I do have the credit cards to do on Monday. . .bleh. *shrug* What can you do.

All right, off to make that damn post -- night all!
