Kind of Grouchy Wednesday
Nov. 28th, 2018 11:03 pmIt wasn't a truly HORRIBLE day, just -- I was already in a bad mood from last night, and having the internet going off and on this morning didn't help matters either. FIOS talks went nowhere too -- somebody Mom knew back in our old city had Verizon and ended up switching to Cox because of outages. So, basically, we could be screwed either way. *sigh* Internet is behaved itself tonight, though. We'll see how long it lasts.
Work was -- well, work. As usual, bunch of things vying for my and my coworker's attention. It just -- it all piles up and gets stressful, you know? Never a day without some sort of problem regarding credit cards, or billings, or SOMETHING. I do have a good chunk of time off to look forward to at the end of December, but that's still about a month away. . . Deep breaths, Vic. You can do this.
Afternoon's been better -- got another chunk done on Chapter 10 of "Fixing You." Tundraful section in the can (mostly touching moments that ends with a bit of silly), and starting on the Deluded Depths bit! Making good progress -- I don't want to promise that it'll be up for next Friday, but keep your fingers crossed. It'll definitely go up before Christmas, that I do know. :)
After that I caught up on my YouTube subscriptions, starting with a video from The Sim Supply about renovating Lady II's living quarters -- well, sort of. He's turned her trailer into a trailer park -- that is, he's made three trailers, each with a separate space for living. :p Her new twins have a trailer all to themselves, lucky babies. It's a hilarious idea, and I love how he said it fits with Lady's trashy personality. Hey, James, YOU were the one who took offense to Thorne Bailey showing up wherever Lady went! She was content to be a fan. XD
And then we moved onto Helloween, and the final set of Call of Cthulhu! Yeah, the game's done already -- I know he did a lot of long sets for this one, but still, that was a short game! Has a HELL of an ending, though. Endings, in fact -- Hells went back and chose a different option to show us both low-sanity endings. They are -- pretty damn epic! The team spared no expense in making the final set-piece look freaking AMAZING. The game may be kind of janky, and its human models a little off, but the environments and monsters are top-notch. Also, learned the developers were French, which makes some of the spelling mistakes and other typos a little more understandable. A flawed classic, I think, much like Bloodlines. If I wasn't so busy working through BioShock Infinite and had Fallout 4 waiting in the can, I'd consider picking it up. Maybe in a later Steam Sale. . .
Anyway, got my queue done on VictorLuvsAlice (more Holistic Assassin!Alice for the crowd over there), caught up on webcomics (had to check multiple days on a couple thanks to last night), and now I'm finishing up here and gonna empty the inbox. Less of a madcap dash tonight in a vague rage, which is nice. Now I just have to get through Thursday and Friday without any major disasters. . . Fingers crossed! Night all!
