OXBox lists and more BioShock Infinite Burial At Sea. And doing the second draft of another friend's gift fic for posting on Tuesday, I said yesterday -- and I did exactly that today! :D Aren't you all proud of me? To whit:

-->I got my friend's gift fic sorted out early this afternoon, after changing my sheets and vacuuming (Mom convinced me that the dusting could wait until next week, given I'd done it last week). Just some quick edits, nothing too major -- now I just have to add it to the queue for Tuesday! :)

-->I watched some OXBox lists I had in my "Watch Later" queue on YouTube -- games you can't buy anymore, mostly because licenses ran out or rights got murky; some of the weirder FMV games that lurked in the recesses of the mid-90s; and some of the most expensive games ever offered for sale (I say that because a few of the mentioned games never sold -- they were gimmicky super-ultra-deluxe-collector's editions designed more to drum up sales than actually find a buyer). I also listened to the next installment of "Wyrd Sisters," a Discworld podcast in which an experienced fan and two new readers talk about the books in chronological order (they just did The Light Fantastic, with some special mention on how Cohen marrying young Bethan is a lot creepier these days), and watched Helloween's latest set of Secret of Mana 2 (the group killed a BUNCH of harpies, saved Jinn the wind spirit from a harpy monster, and saved the Wind Kingdom Rolenta from its occupiers -- though not after taking a severe beating from Bill and Ben, Ninja Knights extraordinaire! No, seriously, it's a wonder none of the characters ended up dead. Lucky Helloween had enough angel grails and healing magic for everyone!) So that was all good!

-->Played BioShock: Burial at Sea Chapter 2 -- discovered to my annoyance that I'd managed to accidentally lock myself out of one of the audio diaries (it's on an airship parked near the First Lady -- but you can only get it when you first arrive in Columbia, because -- as I discovered -- by the time you leave, both airships have gone for plot reasons). But I did as much other looting as I could, then returned to Rapture. Was promptly confronted by Andrew Ryan (via video screen), and forced to kill/sedate a bunch of his goons when I refused a job offer. Then I had to sneak up to Fontaine's office (back in the Manta Ray Lounge! That area's gonna haunt my sleep at night -- especially considering how often I DIED in it, damn Houdini splicers) and place the Lutece particle that allows things to float.

And then Atlas rewarded me with kidnapping, drugging, and a first-person attempt at a lobotomy. All because he thought Elizabeth knew what his "Ace In The Hole" was (the code phrase for Jack in BioShock). It was -- disturbing, to say the least. And that's with me knowing the scene was coming! *shudder* Fortunately, he didn't go all the way, on either Elizabeth or Sally (whom he pulled out after Elizabeth laughed in his face about lobotomizing her, knowing he couldn't actually go through with it because he'd never get his answers), as Elizabeth had another flash of insight with her mental Booker's help and managed to figure out where said "Ace In The Hole" was. I originally left her dumped off without plasmids or weapons just outside the secret entrance to Suchong's free clinic --

But then, as I was exiting the game, it locked up. Forcing me to shut down the whole computer when I couldn't get it to exit properly. *sigh* I got a little anxious about whether that checkpoint actually saved or not, so once my computer was back up, and I'd ascertained it seemed okay, I booted it back up, and ended up playing a little farther -- to the point where Elizabeth encounters a hurt Big Daddy and two Little Sisters, and encourages the Sisters to help the Daddy, healing him and causing them all to properly imprint on each other (much like what happened with her and Songbird). I actually think I'm pretty close to the end of the game now -- with my weapons and plasmids gone, it feels like things are wrapping up. (Not to mention, I already know what happens when Elizabeth brings back the Ace. . .) So I guess next weekend is the one where I wrap up BioShock Infinite, and the BioShock series as a whole! Only been playing it for what, three years? :p

-->And, as per usual on Saturday nights, I got up the latest Scene From Secundus: Thunder. Which can be summed up as "Doc's Dad mode activates after Victor gets disowned by his parents." Their relationship is so good -- one of my favorite things about the Secundus Verse. :p

Okay, and now I have to clear out my inbox, get my queues set up, and then seriously think about going to bed a bit earlier, as I'm really tired tonight. I think I stayed up entirely too late last night. . . *rubs eyes, shakes head* One day, I will actually manage better sleeping habits. One day. For now, good night!
