crossover_chickSpecifically, chunks of "Forgetting You" and "Remembering You." *facepalm* To be FAIR, I've been wanting to look back at some favorite moments from those stories ever since elodash on tumblr made up that comic. I just didn't expect to spend most of my afternoon doing so. Good thing it's a three-day weekend and thus I can catch up on some of the stuff I meant to do tomorrow!
Anyway, things from today that were not me rereading my own fanfic:
-->No Saver's trip today -- Mom suggested next weekend instead, as she has that one off. I'm okay with that, since it's just a pretty simple witch's outfit I'm doing this year.
-->Got outside for a walk! Yeah, it was warm and sunny enough to do that today! Unfortunately, by the time I was able to rip myself away from my computer, it was also rather buggy. >( I ended up taking an alternate route from my usual "loop around the block a few times" just so I wouldn't constantly be fighting off clouds of gnats. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice too -- have to remember to go EARLIER if I want to get outside again.
-->Played Sims 4 -- Emmett and Nikal took another trip to the Magic Realm to learn some new spells and potions, and pick up some new items -- Emmett now officially has both a wand and a broom, yay~ Plus he bound the Skull familiar he found earlier, which I've named Nic (his original name was Ryder, like Ghost Rider -- his new name references Nic Cage, who played Ghost Rider in some fairly terrible movies XD). Nikal also tried dueling Simeon, Sage of Practical Magic, for knowledge, and lost badly. So she froze him with her SimRay. XD Anger the techno-spellcasters at your own risk!
The pair also celebrated Spookfest -- I got them some nice decorations, and they dressed up as a Space Ranger (Emmett) and "Villain" (Nikal, consisted mainly of a gray dress). No trick-or-treaters, sadly, but Gavin Flex and Caleb Vatore stopped by! So that was cool. They both successfully completed the holiday too, which is the important thing. Back to work for them next play session -- I'm following Nikal to the lab, and hoping she has an excuse to use her "Repairio" spell. (So far, she's successfully increased the quality of one painting.)
-->Watched a few Sims videos:
A) onlyabidong playing around with the upcoming "Life Tragedies" mod from Sacrifical, being the world's goofiest armed robber (when the Sim's criminal outfit is the hot dog costume paired with a centurion hat, you KNOW you're in for a good time XD)
B) Deligracy deciding that, if she has to have periods, her Sim Self is going to have them too, and downloading Wicked Whims just for that purpose (it's amazingly detailed too, with packages of pads and tampons that you have to individually unwrap and everything to use! I am dutifully impressed)
C) Plumbella going back into her "dream life" to build her "dream house" (technically three houses as she built herself a row of London townhouses in Windenberg, then decorated the middle one for her Sim and her Billy to live in. Came out pretty nice, if more cramped than I personally would like. Also, she shared a story about getting terrified on the tube by football hooligans letting off flares and smoke bombs, making her think the station she was in was getting bombed -- poor girl, I would have been totally freaked out too :( )
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has officially been Embraced (as represented by her NEARLY reaching the Land of the Dead, then being yanked back by the Queen of Hearts and Fish's blood), and promptly staked by some of LaCroix's lackeys. We are officially in game territory, folks! And I've got Helloween's own Malkavian LP all ready to go. . . :D
-->And I've just did some of my Valice Multiverse queue -- not much there tonight, but that's okay. Mostly because I am still distracted by my own freaking fanfic. *facepalm*
So yeah -- not a heck of a lot to say about today. I'm just glad I did get out for that walk. Tomorrow is gonna be catching up with those videos I MEANT to watch today (namely OXBox stuff), some Bloodlines (time to visit the museum!), and hopefully another walk. Trying to take advantage of any and all nice weather while I can. . . First, though, still got some stuff in the inbox to answer. Night all!
