Happy Back To The Future Day!
Oct. 21st, 2019 10:04 pmThough, these days, it's now "Back To The Past" Day. . .still, as a Backie, I am required to acknowledge it in some manner. Hence this post and me reblogging a bit of BTTF II trivia on my tumblr (apparently the bar code on Marty's receipt for the Almanac is actually LiquidPlumr XD). Also tried to catch various BTTF times during the day, but I was always a little off, dang it. Have to do better this weekend. . .
Anyway! Not too much to report on today:
-->Work was pretty standard -- research that, merge these duplicates, that sort of thing. I'm just doing the best I can with what I've got.
-->Got in both the lunchtime walk and an after-work exercise video, go me -- especially since I ended up having a fair amount of cookies today. XD It's BTTF Day, I'm allowed! (Not to mention I still have more for tomorrow and Doc's birthday. :) )
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Jack has told Alice what she is, and she's -- well, she was pretty O.o for a second there, but she's decided to take his tutelage and just -- run with it, for now. She hasn't got much of a choice here, after all. Poor girl. . .she needs all the hugs, seriously.
-->Watched some Sims videos:
A) James starting on a build voted on by his Twitter followers (three-story, four-bedroom house that has to be built on a budget of $50,000) -- he's making a Sydney-style townhouse with a basement level. It's actually pretty cute -- though, in typical James fashion, he got caught up in trying out different fence and door combinations and briefly lost track of his budget. XD Still got about $30K to work with, though! I'm looking forward to seeing it all come together -- he opened up suggestions on the layout and furnishings to followers and commenters.
B) & C) James and Plumbella both receiving "acceptance" letters from Sim universities -- though James tried to trick us into thinking he'd gotten a rejection letter instead. Which, honestly, would have been super funny. But yeah, Discover University is officially confirmed to be the next pack! Which -- I mean, the XBox One Store leak pretty much told us everything, but it's nice to have official confirmation. James got a letter from the University of Britechester, the older of the two universities available (a royal academy! with a dragon mascot!), while Plumbella's was from Foxbury Institute (the newer college financed by the Landgraabs! with a lobster mascot!). It was very fun to watch them get excited and talk about their hopes for the pack -- Plumbella even got herself a graduation gown and cap for the video. XD I'm trying not to get my hopes up TOO high, given that Sims 4 packs don't always add the best gameplay depth, but I AM happy to see this. :D University was my last "big" pack, and once we get this and the mods are all properly updated. . .wooo boy, are things going to CHANGE in my game. >D
-->And I got all my own Sims pictures for the Newcrest Adventures update this Wednesday sorted -- now time to stick them in the queue! The more I can get done today, the less I have to do tomorrow! Also have to finish answering the comments in my inbox. . . And see how the Pats game turns out. So far we have a comfortable lead, but we've gotta make it through the fourth quarter without giving up a load of points. . . Night all!
