Well, Traffic Was Definitely Better
Jan. 24th, 2020 11:27 pmRide in was okay (except for someone basically riding my bumper ALL THE WAY UP the main drag), and the ride home was fine (I had a brief tense moment when I saw how backed up the first intersection was, but it broke up before the light turned green again, so whew!). And work itself was all right -- a lot of looking stuff up, trying to fix what I could of various problems. Doing my best with what I had at my disposal. Also there were cookies, so I had a few. Hey, free treats is one of the perks of the job. ;p
Anyway, got home at a decent time, worked out, had supper, and helped out with the new puzzle Mom got a few days ago -- we managed to assemble the outer frame after a few false starts, yay. And then after that, it was time to work some more on "Londerland Bloodlines!" Alice has ended up killing Dennis and his gang, because they're assholes and threatened her. She doesn't exactly feel good about it, but she doesn't feel particularly guilty either, given what they were like. *pats Alice* I'm sorry, honey -- if it makes you feel better, Mercurio wasn't about to let them live anyway? (No, seriously -- if you get the Astrolite without murdering the gang, once he heals up, Mercurio doesn't hesitate in painfully paying them back.) At any rate, she's found the Astrolite, and shall soon discover Mercurio's money. And then it's back to the beach, where she can actually be a nice person with the thin-bloods. :)
After that, thanks to the time spent with the puzzle, I only had time for a couple of videos, so I caught up on the ones in my subscriptions:
A) Another tiny build from James Turner, this one a genuine "tiny" build as per the new stuff pack -- 64 tiles of space used. (100 is "small," 32 is "micro.") It was a two-story with three bedrooms, a bathroom, and living space both indoors and out. Came out pretty nice, although again, I feel cramped just LOOKING at these places.
B) A new "Fun With Shorts," which started out as a musical cartoon about the old nursery rhyme set of the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick-maker -- but then the candlestick-maker had to leave to actually do his job, and the whole thing turned out to be a commercial for prepackaged ice cream, which I guess was new at the time?? Ookay then. . .
And then the rest of the evening has been largely catching up on stuff and clearing out comments and the like. Now time to do the Friday Night Writing Thing, as per usual. Tomorrow is a cleaning Saturday -- I'm hoping to catch up on my Call Me Kevin videos, and fit in some Fallout 4 as well. *nods* Night all!

Date: 2020-01-26 04:29 am (UTC)In Alice's case, the situation is -- more complicated. Not only does she have Victor (who replaces Heather in this AU), but also Victoria, Emily, Lizzie, and Sam/Bonejangles by the time of the Sabbat mission. Victor has a prophetic dream (a side effect of drinking Malkavian blood) about everyone dying, and when he tells Alice about it, she recognizes it as a warning. Plans are made for everyone to get the hell out of L.A. -- going in shifts so they can go under the radar. Victor and Emily successfully leave L.A. without issue, but the Sabbat manages to capture Lizzie and Victoria (it's the only reason Alice fights them, in fact -- she was planning on just fleeing with them and Bonejangles once LaCroix ordered her to take them on alone). Alice happily is able to rescue them with a bit of help, though she has to ghoul Victoria to help heal some of the wounds she picked up, and they flee L.A. with Bonejangles while Alice takes care of the end-game stuff. They all meet up again in Hill Valley post-game.
