crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)

Both at work and at home --

Work: Lot of phone calls, lot of people asking me to do things for them, lot of mail to get back out into the world, and lot of having to listen to one of my coworkers complain about HER workload (which, admittedly, IS pretty high too, we're all struggling a bit, but still). Plus the commute in was slow, and the commute home was "have to cut through the city because I can already see it piling up on the road I usually take home." *sigh*

Home: Well, I started OFF the day with nine asks in my inbox on The Valice Multiverse. . .add in an actual thread reply and three more asks when I got home, and that's THIRTEEN things for my inbox. Fortunately I was able to draft a lot of the responses while on my lunch break at work, but DAMN. My queue hasn't been that full in a while. I mean, I reblogged some ask memes, but the majority of the asks were just my usual anon stuff (read: weird), so. . .

Not to mention, I had to get my Newcrest Adventures update for tomorrow finished, work on "Secundus 2" (we're up to the mid-chapter break, with Victor having put the Grasshopper Teapot in Doc's train to keep it safe from Seamus's pigs and trying not to think about his display of temper earlier and having flashbacks to the Queen. . .he's not in a good headspace right now, which will become SUPER obvious AFTER the mid-chapter break), and do a little more on the Shipping Meme for Friday (I got a bit more of it filled out!). At least I found the time as well for a few YouTube videos:

-->The latest Atop The Fourth Wall episode -- Superman Vs Muhammad Ali! Yes, really -- and the story is even goofier than you might expect, with the fight happening to determine who will fight the champion of an alien race threatening to blow up Earth because they're afraid humans are savages and need to put down. (The actual reason is that the leader is kind of a ratbag and just doesn't seem to like humans.) Silly, but good fun, and Linkara did a good review of it. :) Not to mention, we got some more Contest of Champions storyline, with some interesting implications for the next bout. . .

-->Another list of weird Witcher game moments from OXBox that will probably not make it into the Netflix show (which is based on the books anyway) -- though I personally would pay good money to see the side quest where Geralt and some other witcher friends get drunk, and dress up in Yennifer's clothes while trying to figure out how to use one of her magical devices to call her and some friends. XD

-->And another episode of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for PS2 from Call Me Kevin, featuring more death traps, more Harry crawling through small holes, and more characters staring randomly for a good few seconds before their brains power on and they can actually respond in cutscenes. XD The game is so weird and jank, it's great.

All right, and I've got to wrap things up for the night -- still got one last comment to answer in the inbox. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little quieter. . .and I'll be a little less tense about it all. (Which is probably a long shot, as I'm pretty sure I'm moving into PMS mode. . .) Night!
