Work As Usual -- Sort Of
Mar. 16th, 2020 11:35 pmThe office hasn't entirely closed down, but employees age 60 and up, along with those with pre-existing medical conditions and those without much in the way of childcare options, are being encouraged to stay home to help avoid coronavirus concerns. There's a lot of rumors flying about whether or not the diocese will shut down entirely -- they HAVE basically suspended all masses and whatnot to protect churchgoers. Nothing about the actual office building, though. . .for now, I'm just plowing along with the work available (mainly roster maintenance). There is a lot shutting down around us, for what it's worth -- libraries, school, municipal buildings (all the DMV satellite offices are closed now), and restaurants are all closed for dine-in service (delivery and drive-thru are still okay for now). Makes for great traffic getting in and out, at least?? I dunno -- I'm just doing the best I can with not touching anyone, washing/disinfecting my hands regularly, and going nowhere BUT work. Hopefully that'll be enough. . .
In non-coronavirus news, had a decent evening:
-->Got in a workout, as it is currently much too cold for outside walking. :( Though it looks like it might be warming up as the week goes on -- fingers crossed! It IS the official start of spring this week!
-->Wrote another chunk on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has thoroughly raided Malcolm's computer and learned about his affair, along with the patients he has, which includes one "V. Van Dort." Nothing on werewolf blood, though -- at least, until my noncanon e-mail came in. On the plus side, looking up who should send said e-mail lead me (via the Bloodlines Wiki) to where a player who genuinely didn't know where to start looking for the werewolf blood would find out about it -- the administrator's computer! It's part of his e-mails. :D So now I know where to send Alice to properly track down the cabinet and password. And then, once she collects all that, I can do my first POV swap. . .
-->Watched the latest "Rags To Repayment" from James Turner -- we have had a successful alien birth (boy, named Ambrose after the suggestion they should name the baby "Ambrosia"), a successful breakthrough leading to the cloning machine (though finding another common metal for its construction was a pain in the butt -- seriously, those various collectible rocks give capsules and treasure maps WAY too often these days!); and a successful creation of ambrosia (with the help of Trash's foul angelfish :p). And then, the successful CLONING of ambrosia, which was pretty awesome :D So now we have enough plates to bring back all the ghosts, plus two extras! All worth a shocking amount of money too -- dunno why. XD So now begins the long and tedious process of befriending and bringing back each ghost. . .
-->Also watched Call Me Kevin trying to get a YouTube play button for Jim Pickens by giving Jim his own channel, with some goofy videos on it XD (he's already up to 52.4 subscribers, sooo); and Jay from the Kubz Scouts checking out the latest Yandere Simulator update (new ghoul mode for killing people; a fancier-looking basement; and a new phone-stealing mechanic for getting favors from Info-chan. *shrug*). So that was all fun.
-->Got the last of my Newcrest Adventures pictures sorted, then put up my usual "getting the pictures ready" starter posts into the queue -- all captioned this time too, yay~
And that's about it -- time to wrap up and hit the sheets, as so far it's business as usual! Well, except for getting to leave a little later in the morning if the good traffic holds. *shrug* I'll take it, I guess. Night all!
