Another Super-Quiet Work Day

crossover_chickI mean, it had a few things going on (donor needing help with an online pledge, cleaning up various duplicates as I got through a few obits, lots of returned mail), but not a lot -- morning in particular kind of dragged. The weather didn't help -- snow showers in the morning, then kind of rainy and gray for most of the rest of the day. Not to mention, we're all on tenterhooks because of the whole coronavirus thing (two more cases in RI today), and I think a lot of us really want the place to just shut up so we can stay at home and try to ride the thing out. . . I dunno. So far, it looks like we're just gonna stay open and keep washing our hands on a very regular basis. We'll see how things progress. At least I don't have any trouble getting in or out. . .

-->Edited some more on Chapter 6 of "Secundus 2" -- the great Clara rescue has been pulled off! I went ahead and kept Doc saving her by having her jump off the buckboard at the last minute, since, you know, they're supposed to fall in love at first sight and all that. XD At least this time Clara gets to have a fun picnic after her near-death experience!
-->Had a Plumbella marathon for my YouTubery tonight! Content included:
A) The Plumparents coming in and trying Sims 4 build mode, with hilarious results (Dadbella insisted on making a stupid-huge garage full of scooters, with Mambella building an L-shaped living area around it and getting annoyed that The Sims 4 doesn't have a kettle for tea)
B) Another trip to The Sims Medieval, with Lady Jesse of Plumboro managing to forge an alliance with the powerful (and mustachioed) CRAB BANDIT so she could build a tavern and make a proper kingdom out of her little patch of land. XD
C) Plumbella reacting to Alex Plays Sims's theory regarding Bella's abduction in Sims 2 and how the mystery plays out over the course of the mainline game series (short version: Bell and Mortimer got divorced between Sims 1 and 2, but were reconciling after Alexander's birth when she got abducted by aliens (shortly after taking the aging down potion you can get in that game); a clone of her ended up in Strangetown; Bella herself ended up in Lunar Lakes pregnant with a third child, whom she gave birth to and then presumably died as her delayed aging caught up with her; Alexander grows up believing his Dad might have killed his mother, goes back in time to prevent the death, only to overshoot and end up in Sims 3 when his parents are kids; he instead becomes an author, writing about his experiences and theories, and his books end up influencing the timeline and overwriting it with the much happier Goths of Sims 4. Whew!). Complicated, but you gotta admire the thought put into it!
D) Plumbella, sick with a cold, recreating her SimSelf in Sims 2 and taking her on a vacation courtesy of Bon Voyage! She went to Twikki Island, amused herself by turning fountains into lava, got a massage (while making questionable noises), went swimming, somehow entirely avoided getting a suntan, ruined some tours with bad chance cards, and explored the pirate ship. Fun times! Makes me miss being able to VACATION at the beach. *side-eyes Island Living*
E) Plumbella ranks a handful of iconic Sims townies, only to get interrupted by her Dad, who's staying with her because her mother and other family are self-quarantining thanks to exposure to the coronavirus. Before he comes in, we do learn she loves Alexander Goth, can't forgive adult Cassandra Goth her haircut, and hates exactly one-half of the Landgraabs (Nancy and Malcolm, if you were curious -- Geoffrey she's meh about, and she likes Johnny Zest).
-->Did my Valice Multiverse and Victor Luvs Alice queues -- Newcrest Adventures is all set, asks are all set, I found a cool post on redesigning the male Toreador's fashion sense in Bloodlines that goes well with my planned AU Thursday post this week on VLA, so I'm in a good spot. :) So all that's left is to answer what's left in my inbox, and hit the sheets!
And, uh, monitor my health situation, because I was feeling a bit congested earlier, and while I don't really have a cough yet. . .ugh, I really hope it's just my sinuses not liking the March weather. Or it's just a minor cold. At least I've got sick time if I have to use it. Night all!
