It started out as kind of an anxiety day, but as I actually managed to get a few things done (like call people back about certain things, and get a bunch of write-offs wiped out), I felt better. Plus a largely uninterrupted lunch break, so that was nice. Good to have at least a semi-productive day. I'm hoping tomorrow's largely the same, so I can leave on a high note. Want to have a good three-day weekend. . .

Afternoon has been pretty nice as well:

-->Got in a workout -- new video that incorporates some boxing moves and kicks, and has a long stretch/strength workout segment, so that's nice. Always looking for a little more variety.

-->Mom let me have her big old bottle of moisturizer, since I've basically exhausted my supply, and my poor dried-out hands desperately needed it. Went a little heavy on the first application, but hopefully it'll make a difference!

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has smashed Vandal up against the wall, and only didn't kill him for what he did to Lily on the advice of Wonderland (reminding her he works for Therese, and Alice needs to stay on her good side). To her disgust, Vandal likes her MORE now that she was violent with him -- at least it means he's good for cleaning up the body Lily left after her frenzy. Alice isn't going to feel particularly good about leaving Vandal alive, at least until the Queen reminds her that she can tell Therese about his misdeeds and how they might reflect poorly on her. (And even then, I'm toying with the idea that one of Alice's OTHER last acts before leaving L.A. for good at the end is going back and killing Vandal before he can hurt anyone else. Hmmm. . .) I'm gonna have her meet up with Lily and take her to the beach to reunite with E, then get involved in the Gimble sidequest before rushing off to complete "Slashterpiece" for Jeannette. Busy night for Alice! Maaay end up splitting this, but we'll see.

-->Listened to the latest episode of the Wyrd Sisters Podcast, this time taking on Interesting Times, the 17th novel and a return to Rincewind and Twoflower! This time in Twoflower's native country. The sisters' general consensus on this book was that it had a lot of good parts, but the not-so-good ones have definitely aged poorly. Essentially, there's some jokes in there that are just brushing up against racist, and some of the "barbarian hero" tropes he uses are -- iffy, to say the least. Also it was pointed out that Pratchett basically used the whole "foreign land with a deeply oppressive system of government, secretly run by a man behind the man" trope three times -- with differences, of course, but there's a lot of similarities between Djelibeybi, Omnia, and the Agatean Empire, at least the way they start out. I mean, Terry was an amazing writer and made them all unique in their own little ways, but still. He's best when he sticks to his home country and analogues thereof. Still remember a lot of that book fondly, though. Even his bad stuff has a lot of good points. :)

-->Got through Friday done on my Victor Luvs Alice tumblr -- I would have gone straight through Saturday, but Wryd Sisters haven't actually posted their podcast on their blog yet! And I want to reblog it from them if I can, soo. . . At least I'm good for tomorrow and Friday! Though I'm actually thinking of taking a short break from queueing up stuff over there in the near future -- think I need some time to clear my head (and refill my drafts).

-->And now I'm just wrapping up here after having read through my webcomics and such -- gonna answer comments, then hit the sack. One more day of work to get through, then I'm free and clear and can watch movies and YouTube and whatnot. And catch up on my video games too. Just want a little extra relaxation time. . .or maybe just sleep time, since that's what I plan to do Friday morning.

Still have a day to get through, though. Night all!
