crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (RP: have I squeed over Butterfly Boy yet)

Somewhat less crap on my plate, and I managed to take care of a good chunk of the crap that was on it. And I managed to avoid the work idiots, so that's something. Had a bit of a shit time with lunch, but that's because I foolishly took something that needed heating. . .really need to remember to avoid the microwave while eating at work.

Afternoon was decent too:

-->We were under a severe thunderstorm warning, but once again, it looks like the bad weather has just missed us -- could use the rain, but I'll take it without a side order of thunder and lightning.

-->Rode the bike for my workout today -- got up to level 5 on the resistance for a brief while! It really is more fun with the TV down there to watch, instead of just staring at a largely dark, blank wall while listening to my iPod.

-->Finished off Chapter 12 of "Secundus 2" after supper! Took a little longer than I anticipated, given I kept adding extra little lines here and there (it's gone from seven pages to just eight), but it is done, and I am satisfied. :) Just the epilogue to go!

-->Watched mostly Sims-related YouTubery:

A) Started with a couple of videos from Carl's Sim Guides:

1. A quick sum-up of recent Sim news, from the accidental leak of the next game pack's potential icon, to the controversy over skin tones (namely, the lack of good darker ones, that has to be filled by CC), to the fact that apparently the devs changed how the "Decorated" moodlet works and now it's completely random what one you get instead of going up in fixed amounts depending on how nicely a room is furnished and decorated. So that's fun. (Also, poor guy is recovering from recently being sick – he has no idea if it was The Plague or not, but he's planning on an antibody test.)

2. 25 Secrets from The Sims 4! Yes, there are apparently secrets in this game, who knew. :P Plenty of items on the list were things I already knew, but there were a few bits of new information, like scenting a flower arrangement with a tulip literally FORCES your Sims partner to be faithful, in that it locks out Romantic interactions with anyone else. And a Sim getting Hyper-Charged from lightning strikes is at least partially dependent on having the right traits (Loves Outdoors, Erratic, or the Storm Chaser reward trait). And the chance of a vampire finding someone to be a "divine drink" is about 15%. So hey, that's all interesting, at least! Oh, and in the comments, apparently conceiving a Sim in the Brindleton Bay lighthouse gives a Sim a hidden secret trait so they get a little bit happier being in a lighthouse. So – yeah? XD

B) And then a video from onlyabidoang about 50 little details exclusive to The Sims 3, proving that my dislike of the game because of its art style is kind of a shame. Rain drips off roofs, and you get icicles on the eaves in winter! Parents helping kids with their homework are so much more interactive – as are people reading stories with toddlers! You can clip coupons out of the newspaper! You can customize your doorbell and phone ringtone! You can roast all the things over the campfire! Honestly, I'm starting to think the ideal "Sims 5" would look over this video and all the ones he did about unique stuff in Sims 2 and put them all back in, with a Sims 4-style art style. (You listening, Paralives?)

C) And finally, skipping back over to GrayStillPlays for another Henry Stickmin Collection video! Finally saw the ending where Henry, as leader of the Toppats, gets his betrayal of Ellie thrown back in his face as she sneaks onto the airship and convinces the vast majority of the clan (minus two members and a security guy named Dave) to throw him out. Toppat civil war commences! And then we had the "Betrayed" ending, where Henry is actually killed while escaping the complex by the betrayal of the former leader of the Toppats, only to be resurrected as a cyborg and go on a massive campaign of revenge. Actually has the most emotional ending, as basically everybody dies, but in a much less funny way than normal. Gray seemed satisfied, though, as Henry got to keep his spine in that ending. XD (And hey, even this was Sims-related, as one of the fails of the Ellie ending was Sims-themed! As in, trying to take control of an enemy via plumbob only works if the enemy's path isn't blocked by something stupid. XD)

-->And I just got through updating both my Victor Luvs Alice queue (four posts detailing the adventures of Dr. Wheatley and Dumpster Divin' Geeker) and my Valice Multiverse one (bunch of asks and two thread replies). Took a while (though admittedly I got distracted right before I started rereading some old Sluggy Freelance stuff), but we are done and sorted for tomorrow, yay~ Just have to finish off my final comment and it's off to bed! Supposed to be cooler and drier tomorrow -- hopefully we can do beanbag game. And hopefully it's all right at work again. We'll see. Night all!
