crossover_chick | Bad Wednesday

You know any day where you end up waking up earlier than you want to again, then finally get yourself out of bed just in time to see a news report about how COVID-19 might be able to spread WAY farther than previously anticipated (as in, six feet of social distancing is nowhere near enough) is going to be a bad day. I was in a miserable mood all day, not helped by my coworkers insisting on talking politics (and my politics are proving to be a lot different than theirs), general rage at the fact that, no, people are not properly masking from what I can see, and more specific work-related frustration over our credit card company (more bullshit with me being the point of contact for said bullshit). I just. . .I don't know how much more I can take. It's -- my parents keep telling me everything is gonna be fine and we're going to be okay, but I look at what's around me and I go, "probably not." I'm just so sick of being scared of something all the time, and. . . *sigh*

Anyway. Give you the round-up of the afternoon:

-->Weather was decent, if kinda windy, so we did indeed play the beanbag game. Dad won the first and last game, with Mom taking second in each -- the second game turned into a prolonged shootout, with everyone being really closed, and in fact we were all tied at 28 each before the final throw. A lucky four for me, coupled with some unlucky shots for my parents, won me that game. Whew!

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice and Mercurio have descended farther into the murder basement (with Alice picking up a snack along the way), talking about Gimble's potential mental state and the Voermans. Boss fight is right before them -- should be good! If kinda short because Gimble's got TWO people to fight now. . .

-->Watched a few bits of YouTube:

A) Started with another one of the Vampair speedpaints – Missi is having a night on the town, but Duke is of course nearby being a horndog and pissing her off. XD At least she has a – faun? I dunno, woman's got hooves for feet – to sympathize with!

B) And then it was time for a long-waited episode of "Rags to Redevelopment!" James has apparently been coding Minecraft plugins, but he is back now, with the further adventures of Ambrose! Which was mainly making candles, bonding with his bees, working out, and sitting in on skill classes to get a promotion at work. He's up to level 8 of the Civil Engineer career now, yay him. :) Also, as James decided he wanted a little extra chaos, Lilith has moved in – and IMMEDIATELY had her and Ambrose's second child, as they had tried for another baby earlier in the episode. XD So now we have Isaiah (I think?) Vatore and Brodie Bigwallet living in the container mansion. I can't wait for James to regret all his life decisions because we all know how good he is with Sim kids. XD

C) And then I went ahead and watched another TED-Ed riddle video – there are cute Cuddlies, vicious Duddlies, and horrible Fuddlies, all part of the Wuddly species. You get any one of the three by combining 100 eggs in a special egg fusion machine – if you're left with a red egg, you get a Fuddly; a purple, a Duddly; a blue, a Cuddly. You start with 33 red eggs, 43 purple eggs, and 23 blue eggs, and you can add a single egg of any color to the tubes to start the process. Red and purple make blue, so you want those to run out first – what do you do? (Add a blue egg to bring that total up to 24, because parity means that tube will now always be even when the others are odd, and vice-versa – which includes at the end, which will leave you with one blue egg and your Cuddly.)

-->And then I caught up on webcomics and whatnot, and now I'm here, wrapping things up before heading to bed. We'll see how well I sleep. And we'll see what happens tomorrow. I hope you guys are all doing better. Night all.
