Fairly Quiet Monday

crossover_chickI am both pleased, and kind of worried about the rest of the week as a result. Wondering if it's all downhill from here. . . But I didn't have to drive in (Mom took me -- though that's because the truck has developed a concerning noise that needs to be looked at), the day was pretty quiet except for some stuff with IT, and I didn't have to see a lot of people. Also my supervisor will be back tomorrow, so -- that's something, right? We'll see how it all goes. . .
Anyway, afternoon was fairly reasonable:
-->We played the beanbag game again -- Mom won the first game, and Dad won the second two, though I did manage a pretty awesome ten-pointer on one of my sets. So that was pretty cool. :) Now if only I could pull that off for a win sometimes!
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Carson has revealed he is down one trigger finger, and thus will not be returning to the bounty-hunting business anytime soon. Alice thinks he should tell Arthur this himself, but has been persuaded to act as messenger while Mercurio and Carson take care of what's left of Gimble and McGee. I've decided that Carson's going to give her the skill book you normally loot from his apartment as a thank-you tomorrow night -- hey, she's going to need a book on shooting a lot more than he is, now! Anyway, hopefully time to wrap this all up soon with a trip to Gallery Noir (after seeing Arthur and getting paid, of course) to slash some paintings! And discover what happens when you slash the paintings. . .

A) Started with Plumbella and The Sims Medieval, with a return to the kingdom of Plumboro! Where Jesse made herself Snape for the kingdom wizard, picked a bard, got her proxy ruler killed by dueling a man to the death (after successfully dueling the town crier for making fun of her, just to rub it in), then had Lady Jesse the Great woo and marry Snape when she got a quest to provide the kingdom with an heir. XD This of course did mean throwing the other loves from previous episodes under the medieval equivalent of a bus, but what else can one do when they have the opportunity to marry the love of their fictional life? XD Haven't figured out if they have successfully created an heir, though – that's for the next episode! Whenever that may be. . .
B) Then it was time for Call Me Kevin, with Fast & Furious Crossroads, a truly terrible racing game with not as much Vin Diesel as you might expect, given the franchise that it's based on. Kevin was utterly uninterested in playing as anyone else, meaning there was a LOT of complaining as he was forced to take on missions such as "this asshole boyfriend of yours owes money to the mob; get him racing fuel for his car and then race yourself for poorly-explained reasons." XD Also there were no pedestrians for him to knock over – 7 out of 10! XD
C) And then time for more GrayStillPlays:
1. Solar Smash – a game all about smashing either our beloved planet Earth, or perhaps a few other, more sci-fi planets, at your leisure. You may hit it with death beams, suck chunks of it into a black hole, cut it in half with your choice of laser, pepper it with bombs (or, in Gray's case, make a hole, fill it with bombs, and crash the game a few times), or just fling the moon at it. Gray had a loooot of fun with this one, let me tell you. XD
2. More Henry Stickmin! Doing the "Henry faked his death and never met Ellie" endings now – including a sad one where he teams up with Charles to take out the Toppat station, which involves Charles crashing into the station with a secret government UFO, and then making sure Henry gets in an escape pod at the cost of his own life; and a more hilarious one where Henry, having gone off on his own to steal things, overhears about the space station and decides to STEAL THE WHOLE THING and turn it into a space resort. Gray reacting to the failures – and successes! – are always so awesome. XD I'm genuinely gonna be sad when he runs out of endings to show.
-->And then it was time to catch up on webcomics and finish getting my pictures ready for the Newcrest Adventures update on Wednesday! Gotta finish answering the comments in my e-mail too. . .and then get to bed. I kinda slept like shit last night, and I've developed a bad habit of waking up about an hour before my alarm, so I'm really hoping I sleep better tonight. First day of September tomorrow, can you believe it? This year is going by in both a blink and a slog. . .anyway, we'll see what tomorrow brings. Night all!
