It was at least quieter on the work front -- helped that my Chatty Cathy coworker was doing a project in the kitchen most of the day, and left for lunch. And she has tomorrow and next Monday off, yay. I shall enjoy the silence. >) No major fires to put out today -- in fact, I managed to clear out a lot of stuff! So that was satisfying. Tomorrow hopefully will just be little things, like catching up on roster maintenance and whatnot. Fingers crossed.

As for the afternoon, the to-do list is looking pretty good:

1. Keep up on YouTube Subscriptions: Check! Though, admittedly, that’s generally easier on Thursdays, where there’s a good chance I’ll only have one video thanks to it being Gray’s Official Day Off and James having a rather erratic upload schedule these days –

A) No Gray? Might as well pop into the Watch Later and catch up on Linkara instead! Today’s offering was “The King of Braves GaoGaiGar Ep. 1-4” – aka the first four episodes of a “super robot” transforming mech anime, where a team assembled by the government for defense against alien beings battle a variety of strange robots formed by a sinister cabal of alien machine creatures using disgruntled humans as power cores with their cyborg astronaut warrior and transforming mech, who is mysteriously linked to a young boy who goes green and gains the ability to fly whenever he senses one of the transformed humans. ...The show takes itself about as seriously as that description suggests. XD It looks like a pretty fun romp, and while it wasn’t quite Linkara’s cup of tea, he said he’d recommend it to anyone who did like that sort of series. . .

So long as they weren’t epileptic, because HOLY HELL THE FLASHING LIGHTS. Apparently the theme song and the baddies are particularly bad for having flashes all over the place – Linkara was reduced to using still frames to show a lot of their scenes! So yeaaaaaah, something to look out for if you decide to check out the series. On the plus side, we got Linksano ranting about anime protagonists disregarding science in favor of “a brave heart,” and the return of Bone Button to challenge one of the core-humans, a wrestler. XD So that was fun.

B) I do, however, have Kevin today in the old Subscriptions! And he’s back with another round of FUSER, that “be a DJ and mix these songs” game he did a while back. Apparently it’s fully released now and the people behind it sponsored him to do another video on it. Kevin freestyled for a while, just randomly mixing tunes and getting confused on whether he liked the resultant creations or not. XD Though he did find that “Jolene,” weirdly enough, went with just about everything, so that was something. Then he did a battle against a random player named “Jord” – three rounds, and despite doing some downright strange mixes (most featuring “Mud On The Tires”), he came out with the win! And after that was some cooperative play, doing festivals with people like “AndieEU96” and “sassyswift.” They came up with some pretty interesting mixes, and Kevin even got “Hottest Mix” a couple of times! :D It was a lot of fun, and I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing it again, sponsored or not. Yay weird music mixes!

2. Work some more on “Londerland Bloodlines”: Check! Another page took care of Alice’s Embrace (poor girl got like a minute’s glimpse of the Land of the Dead before everything got symbolically drowned in Fish’s blood), and I ended at the moment when LaCroix’s agents (Ventrue and Toreador if you’re a Malkavian; I’ve named them Terrence and Van respectively) burst in and stake her and Fish. Picking back up with the rest of the opening cutscene and LaCroix on Saturday!

3.Get in a workout: Check! Accidentally did it in my slippers instead of getting my sneakers as I usually do, but I got in another bike ride, and another chunk of Jon’s Fallout 4 Survival Playthrough! Caught up with Grills using his new excess of materials to build a decontamination arch right in the entrance of his little trailer home, with the generator to power it sitting on the roof. Handy! He also proved some of the usefulness of “Aquaboy” as a perk by swimming over to a little island just north of Longfellow’s place – nothing too interesting there beyond a Legendary Gulper Newt (with no gear that Jon wanted) and some dead trappers and their shed. Content in his exploration for now, Grills swam back home and got a good night’s sleep.

Bright (well, not really, it was gloomy and foggy) and early next morning, he set off again, traversing the ocean over to Dalton Farm (with Jon again saying that it’s a shame there’s no actual sea monsters in the game – he was hoping the ghoul whale some NPCs mention was real). As he arrived at the farm, though he found a strange signal labeled “Shipbreaker,” which started up a quest of the same name. Jon’s confusion was cleared up when he located the settlers that Cassie had sent ahead to help clear the place out – one of them happily told him that Shipbreaker was a wily, tough-as-nails Fog Crawler that Longfellow was tracking. Now, I thought this was in fact Longfellow’s personal quest, but apparently it kicks off on its own if you find the radio signal for her (I guess he tagged her with a transmitter a while back), and actually bringing him along is entirely optional! Weird. . .at any rate, Grills turned that guy into his caravan between Dalton and Longfellow’s, scrapped up the place, assigned the other settler to the few bits of corn still growing, and then headed out to find Shipbreaker! It was a bit of a twisty-turny search, following the radio signal, but eventually he tracked her down in what looked like a lake (or possibly an inlet), having a fight with some Gulpers. Grills waited until they’d whittled down a bit of her health, then pulled out his trusty Gauss Rifle. . .

Yeah, uh, Shipbreaker’s a Legendary. A really tough Legendary. Grills used up all his Criticals on her with the Gauss and just triggered the “back to full health” mutation, forcing him to run for his life while also blasting her as much as possible with his Crippling Plasma gun. And then some Trappers showed up and started shooting him with harpoons! (Which, uh, ended up going into his inventory. . .waste not want not?) Grills managed to flee to a safe spot and distract his two enemies with each other. . .and then, once Shipbreaker was reduced to just staggering around, take her down once and for all. Whew! On the plus side, she dropped some Legendary gear Jon actually wanted – a very nice Sentinel Metal Left Leg! Way better than the Assassin’s Leather gear he had just in terms of stats, and not a bad legendary affect to boot (reduces damage when you’re standing still by 15% – very useful for a sniper build!). Now he just has to admit to Longfellow he’s murdered the Fog Crawler the guy’s been tracking for ages. . .

First things first, though – while he was in that part of the world, Jon sent Grills to go grab some power tools for the Mariner in the relatively-nearby tannery! The place was infested by ferals, with some Trappers skulking around the edges, but Grills was able to handle most of them with his usual weapons (plus Lucky Lorenzo, which is hilarious-awesome if it hits an enemy just right to fling them. XD). He retrieved the duffel bag with the tools little problem – and on his way out ran into a new character, Machete Mike! Who, true to his name, was using a machete against the ghouls. And not doing very well with it. XD Good thing he’s protected. I left things with him trying to buy the tools off Grills (easy 2000 caps if you don’t mind disappointing the Mariner), but Grills refusing. We’ll see how this decision affects things later on, I suppose!

So yeah, doing good there. Add in that I've gotten my Valice Multiverse queue all set (couple of asks and a thread), and I can safely say I've had a very productive night. :) Time to wrap things up with a quick comment answer and head to bed. Really hoping that tomorrow is okay. . . Just one more day until the weekend. Gotta remember that. Night all!
