For the most part -- while the work day was reasonably settled (mostly because there was no point in worrying about the credit card stuff until next week), my chatty coworker was really going at it, especially during my lunch break, and that shredded my nerves a bit. But I made it through the day without too much stress, and traffic home was actually pretty damn good for a change, so that was all nice. Plus I had a lovely cupcake for dessert tonight, and we still have a bunch in the fridge, so that makes me happy. :)

Also makes me happy -- getting good work done on the old to-do list:

1. Get in a workout: Check – 25 minutes on the bike again finished off Episode 7 of “Nuka-World Level One Survival!” Caught up with Minnie as she continued to hunt her Legendary Protectron Guardian – and suddenly found him in a backstage area that was once a trader camp, complete with sleeping bags! She promptly VATS-Blitzed up to him, taking out half his health with one solid swing of her bat –

And then the next few swings did much less damage, and she ended up dead once the Protectron had a chance to retaliate. Jon, as you might imagine, was sour. XD Fortunately for all involved, take two of the assault actually went a lot smoother – mostly because, now knowing where the Protectron was (in a shed), Minnie just lobbed some grenades into the bastard’s face and let him explode. Of course, that meant she had to wait for the rads to clear before she could drop a nap-save in the sleeping bags. . .and what did it drop? Nothing other than a VATS-Enhanced Baton. Jon was sour again. XD Didn’t help that he had Minnie venture into the shed, encountered a hard-as-nails Protectron Guardian, and ended up dead again – fortunately this time AFTER she’d dropped the save.

With the shed off-limits, Minnie gathered what goodies she could (including a Star Core!), then – having no other place to go that was even remotely safe – headed over to the Vault-Tec Among The Stars exhibit to try and get the Star Cores there. She initially tried to go through the ride as you were “supposed” to – but then she ran into a bunch of utility Protectrons, and despite a good showing, ended up dead. So Jon had her take the elevator to the end of the ride instead, to sneak some keys off a desk and get into the “employees only” area to get the Star Cores in the main lab. This was much safer, with the only enemies being some deactivated Mr. Handy Greeters –

And a Novatron, aka the Nuka Spaceport-variant of the Assaultron! By some MIRACLE, Minnie was able to get the first hit in with her bat before it could properly “see” her, and thus got a sneak attack, boosted by her recent acquisition of the second rank of the “Ninja” perk. That plus a lot of VATS swings actually killed the damn bot before its laser could properly go off, and Jon thanked the Bethesda Gods he picked that perk to take on level-up. XD The rest of the trip to get the keys she needed was happily largely uneventful, though we did learn something – the damn exhibit was of course another Vault-Tec experiment, and the subliminal suggestions and gasses and stuff they’ve got in it actually affect the character! Minnie was down a Charisma point during her time in there. But it was worth, as she got the four easiest Star Cores to grab and legged it out of there to install them in the Starport and shut down those accursed Protectrons. XD The episode ended with Jon making plans to figure out how to get the remaining ten Cores he needed to properly reactivate the park and claim it for a gang.

And then YouTube started playing the eighth episode of the original run through Nuka-World, with Bacon, and I was deeply confused for a moment before I realized what had happened. *grumps* I found the ACTUAL Episode 8 and let it run for half a minute, just to make sure I’ll have it, but we’ll PROPERLY start it on Sunday. *nods*

2. Write some more on “Londerland Bloodlines”: Check! Alice has met Mercurio, and Mercurio recognized she wasn’t one of Dennis’s goons in time to avoid shooting her. :p Poor guy is not doing well, though he’s steadfastly refused Alice’s offer to call 911 – a guy like him needs to avoid any police attention, after all! They’ve gotten through what happened to him – now he gets to explain to her a) what ghouls are and b) that her “labor” for LaCroix involves exploding things. A Sabbat warehouse, specifically. Fun! XD

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – another two today, which is good because I got to them a bit late (writing, plus a cupcake for dessert, which is not conducive to video watching so I didn’t even try) –

A) First up, Call Me Kevin with Not Tonight, a bouncer simulator! Though it would be somewhat more accurate to call it a Papers, Please clone – you have the same mechanic of having to check people’s IDs and suchlike to allow them entry to places. Just in this case, it’s either a pub, an illicit party, or a swanky new club. And you’re doing it to avoid deportation yourself in a post-UKIP England. Not to mention you have bills to pay, new clothes to buy, and all that other fun stuff. Kevin rapidly got overwhelmed by the necessity of doing math to screen underage customers and became the kind of bouncer who would let people in for a few quid. Or just because spamming the “next” button was more profitable than being careful. XD And who also dressed up in a clown outfit the moment he could afford it. I think it was this latter that ended up getting him deported and not the fact he had a lousy day at work and then slept through the next couple of days. XD Oh Kevin. . .

B) Then it was time for GrayStillPlays and another GTA V stunt race! A pretty purple parkour course FROM HELL. Basically this thing was almost entirely pure bastard wall rides – crappy boosts, a variety of terrible obstacles, the occasional slow-down stick IN the obstacles – interspersed with bastard parachuting sections. Because the car in question has a parachute that can be deployed in certain situations, and those situations were terrible long-jumps, occasionally into invisible walls. XD Gray was suffering just trying to get up to the STARTING AREA. He had to bust out the controller on the first jump! O.o And then the ending – ooh man, that was a horrorshow of perfect speed and perfect timing. . .AND THEN THE WIN DIDN’T TRIGGER RIGHT AWAY. Gray thought it was a fake for a moment, as the creator had put fake checkpoints into the board previously. It did eventually trigger, but not before putting Gray through the mental wringer. I think he needs one of my mom’s cupcakes after that. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – one ask and three blogs set up for Valice Multiverse, go me~

So yeah, not bad -- though I wish I'd had more time to watch some YouTube, as the Watch Later is building up again. Welp, only so much I can do. . . Let's see what I can set up for tomorrow:

1. Give my room a proper clean

2. Catch up on the Wyrd Sisters Podcast, keep up on other YouTube Subs, and to at least knock out the Plumbella videos in the Watch Later

3. Start edits on Chapter 4 of "In A World Of His Own"

4. Play Sims 4 and do some more with Eric and his haunted house

Okay, hopefully that's reasonable, especially with the room clean -- and a new episode of Taskmaster to watch at some point tomorrow. Right now, I gotta wrap up in anticipation of the Friday Night Writing Thing. And hope our house doesn't get blown away in the middle of the night, because DAMN is it windy. *eyes outside* Night all!
