Getting Back To Normal Friday
Jun. 4th, 2021 11:18 pmWell, actually made it to work today, so -- that's something? The car runs, and I'm feeling okay -- little soreness in the neck, but that's going away. Not exactly a perfect day, but -- better than yesterday, that's for DAMN sure.
Work – Pretty quiet, fortunately – everyone wanted to know if I was okay and what happened, naturally. But after that I got the GL done, fixed up a few things, looked up things for people, and did some obits. Reasonably chill Friday, which I strongly appreciate. After what happened yesterday, I was not in the mood for too much stress!
Beanbags – Again, no dice – mostly because it started POURING right before I left work, and continued to rain on and off for a few hours afterward. Blaaaah. . .should be okay for tomorrow, though. We’ll see!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: No check today – it was storming a bit when I came home, and I didn’t necessarily wanted to do anything that would get me sweaty when I couldn’t shower. Didn’t help that I was on my iPad reading TV Tropes at the time. . .hopefully tomorrow!
2. Edit some more on "Londerland Bloodlines": Check! Alice has entered the blood bank and just met Vandal! And learned that bagged blood is EXPENSIVE, yikes. You’re really better off going after rats and sneaking down alleys and into bathrooms after humans. . .or fueling up on the ones who try to kill you. And this hasn’t even gotten into the fact that Vandal’s a creepy bastard and Alice is going to rapidly develop a dislike for him. Sorry, Alice – no blood here for you today!
3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – just two in the Subs today, which suited me as I had a late shower and then the above writing –
A) Started with Call Me Kevin and Just Die Already, a very strange puzzle game where you complete challenges and solve puzzles as a horrible old person who gets dismembered a lot. XD You know, right up Kevin’s alley! He played as Wally, a terrible old man who wanted to do things like fling himself off the tallest building in the city (poor Kevin couldn’t figure out the best way to climb any of them), jaywalk (that Kevin did pretty well), and steal the mystical glowing balls of some martial-arts dojo outside of town. Also become Buddha and steal their keys. I mentioned this game was very strange, right? And that there’s steamrollers you can both be run over by and hijack? And piranhas you can feed with your own flesh? Look, that “limb loss” challenge isn’t going to win itself!
B) And then we had GrayStillPlays and Brain Love Story – or Brain Story Love if you believe Gray’s intro over the info box under the video. This game not only lets you complete the drawing or erase things, you can also use a magnifier/x-ray device and just straight up manipulate objects! Generally to cause pain and suffering. Gray revealed cheating lovers, undressed women to find credit cards and diamond rings, showed that young lovers are in fact going to murder each other, discovered ANOTHER burglar who had kidnapped a woman, revealed scantily-clad girls in vending machines and leaf piles, and drew angel wings and decapitated-skull swords! All in levels named things like “Shave Her,” “Who’s in the Bathtub,” and “Breakfast is Ready.” I – I have no words, and Gray didn’t really either. XD
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – just a couple of asks to stick in the queue for Valice Multiverse. Nice and simple.
So yeah, honestly, a fairly chill Friday, which is what I needed after yesterday. (I mean, I didn't need to get soaked, and driving was definitely more of a chore this time, but -- still.) Very glad it's the weekend now, though -- let's set up the to-do list for tomorrow:
1. Work some more on the hypnokink verse notes document
2. See about watching the OXBox and OXtra in my Watch Later and keep current with YouTube subs
3. Play Sims 4 and get through in-game Sunday with Emmett, Nikal, and Julia
4. Get in a workout
I'm hoping all that is reasonable -- we will be watching my aunt's dog for a little while tomorrow afternoon, which might limit what I can do and when. Plus still watching myself for "surprises" that might result from being rammed into by a guy fighting a bee. . . But yeah, that seems like a decent to-do list for a Saturday.
Now -- I did tell my friend Squid I would do Friday Night Writing Thing with him, so I'd better wrap this up, complete my comments, and get moving on that. Hope you all had a decent Friday! Night all!
