September 2nd, 1885: Marty McFly arrives in 1885, only to be confronted by a tribe of Indians fleeing from the US Calvary. He makes it to the cave to hide the DeLorean, but unfortunately a) rips the fuel line and b) is chased out by a bear. He falls down a steep hill and knocks himself out on the fence of the McFly farm. Coming to a few hours later, Marty is afforded the opportunity to interact with his great-great-grandparents, and spends the night in their barn.

In honor of the start of this week, I played my 1885 Hill Valley families -- the Elder McFlys and the Elder Tannens. Both are fairly small families, and I just moved in the Elder Tannens today, so not too to report. The Elder McFlys had a fairly quiet Friday, with friends over and such -- Seamus chatted up a passing George:

Maggie had over her teenage friend Ivy Copur, William brought home fellow policeman Amin Sims:

And Seamus brought Doc home from work. William also made Detective at work, which was good. :)
Saturday, though, things got interesting -- the Elder McFlys had a burglar! And since I didn't think to get them a burglar alarm, Will had to wake up and call the police. Unfortunately the burglar escaped, taking with him the chess board and the bookcase:

Will, naturally, was depressed -- Maggie and Seamus were a tad more emotional.

-M: Uh, yeah, hysterical much Maggie?-
LOL, you're not kidding -- she did that THREE times! And Seamus did it too, though he favored the "get mad--force myself to calm down" method of dealing with it. I replaced the missing items with slightly cheaper ones, had Maggie call Ivy and finaly best-friend her, then let Seamus and Maggie have a bit of fun while Will was at work.
-VM: Gah! No details!-
Heh. Will came home as a Lieutenant, and I had him start studying before I saved.
I proceeded to move the Elder Tannens into a small lot and build them a house:

Gertrude (Biff's grandma) and Buford started off with mildly negative relationships, but quickly progressed to being able to stand each other. I had them just do the living thing for a bit -- Buford will get a Criminal job eventually -- and then, the Welcome Wagon came over.
Seamus, Maggie, and George McFly.
This was too easy.
George and Buford got off on the wrong foot immediately, Buford rejecting George's admire.

George did have more luck with Gertrude, but not much. Buford and Gertrude proceeded to insult Maggie and Seamus, making them cry:

That's the one bad thing about Nice Sims -- they're such bleeding hearts. Buford grossed George out, and I was about to have him insult Maggie when I saw this option:
"Flirt -- Wolf Whistle"
How could I pass that up! Maggie seemed to be flattered by this attention -- but Seamus DEFINITELY took offense.

After a brief slap fight, I sent the McFlys on their way and had the Tannens work on some Skill -- Body for Buford, Cleaning for Gertrude. Buford managed to whip up some macaroni for dinner, and they went to sleep. I quickly checked back on the McFlys -- Maggie and Seamus were okay, but Seamus DETESTED Buford. :D
-D: You are very evil.-
Hey, it's canon!

YAY for three-day weekend. Today was teh suck. One of our customer's orders got SEVERELY messed up -- he always gets his shirts boxed, but the company we send our laundered stuff to will put them on hangers unless we put a sticker on it. Seriously, the slip itself says BOXED! And not only that, they put in two shirts that WEREN'T HIS. Luckily we tracked down the order they were supposed to be from, and we're working on straightening it out.
And then we have a rush of sorts, and our drawers run out of change, so I'm having to conduct transactions around Bonnie counting out change. And we got a woman with 23 pieces in her order, and another regular who's friends with a girl in the back -- a yapper with big orders. -.-
Of course, when all's said and done, I end up staying over a half-hour to help get the clothes in the back straightened out. Coupled with two times I stayed 15 minutes, I have an extra hour's worth of pay coming my way at least.
-VD: You really don't like that job, do you?-
Not really, no, but it's bearable. Plus, I could use the money. Good to have savings and stuff.
Anyway. Must write before muses get angry with me.
-OD: *patpat* Don't strain yourself -- just make sure to get something out.-
Do my best. *hugs muses*
