crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

We got a nice chunk of snow today -- Mom estimated about five inches.
-M: Ugh, snow.-
-M2: And don't say a word about 'it snows in Hill Valley'-
LoL. Well, it's better than was was predicted -- the weatherman kept saying 10 to 14 inches.
-J: o.O Yipes.-
Yeah, I know. Fortunately we escaped the brunt of it (though the lights flickered twice -- and right in the middle of my Sims game time).
-D: I'll be glad when spring finally comes. I'm sick of cold weather.-
-TD: Me too. Do I have to trod through snow in "Boy Genius?"-
It's a possibility, but not a high one. It does seem to be winter in the "Aaronev and Balan's Gap" segment of the GG storyline, but there's not many sightings of snow.
-TD: Ah, good. Otherwise I'd ask you to have me invent electric heat.-
LOL -- you do have the fire sword as well.
-TD: Not efficient enough.-

[livejournal.com profile] revison_doc update -- a Morte Party and a fairly quiet day (if you can say that about a six-sim house) at the Shaw/Von Brauns. I'm getting reader opinions on what I should do with Emmett's home, as I'm not sure.
-D: Well, he's going to need a place to build robots.-
Hey, you don't know that I'm getting Open for Business!
-VD: Yes we do.-
-VD2: You're Victoria.-
*hangs head* I really need a bigger hard drive.
-TD: You know--
Ah, a bigger, modern-day hard drive.
-TD: *pout*-
I love you, but I kinda like my computer the way it is.
-OD: How goes productivity?-
You can be proud of me -- I finished inking up "Sparky Valentine." All it needs is clean and color, and it and "Dingbots in Love" will be ready for posting on Tuesday.
-OD: *tentacles chatter happily and hug me* Great job. Any ideas for what's next?-
I think I might do "Hoverboards."
-VD: Got any editing on "V.D." done?-
Yeah, I'm finishing up rewrites on the whole "Marty and Jennifer find out" scene. You're a little less gentle in this version.
-VD+M2: O.o-
Heh, don't worry, it all pans out the same, and you're not hurt Marty.
-M2: Whew.-
-VD: Good, I'd hate to think I hurt Marty.-
-VD2: Did you use the whole weekend for "Sparky Valentine," or did you get anything on "Dusky Past" done?-
Got a nice half-page on "Dusky Past" right there. I also got out a rough draft for the "Clara" section of "Liquid Chocolate," and I'm starting on the "Mystie" section.
-VM: Cool.-
-DW: And that provides me with Josie and Gypsy plot bunnies for future sections, so I'm set. *catches a Gypsy bunny in a Rube Goldbergian trap*-
-TD: I assume that you've gotten plenty done with "Boy Genius."-
Yeah, typed up a good amount yesterday, and I'll be trying to get Chapter 2 up later.
-D: And anything for me?-
Got Boy Genius up on the website.
-D: *pleased nod* Looks like you've managed to satisfy all of us.-
-MDC: *bimf in* We'll see about that. How goes the other fandoms? You got any urges to write more for Marvel?-
Sorry to disappoint, but I got a page typed of "BTTX-2" -- and the BTTF characters aren't even it that bit.
-VuM: We aren't? How come?-
New and improved Venom origin story. I'm focusing on Eddie at the moment.
-MDC: *pout* You're no fun.-
Go play with something shiny, you'll feel better.

[livejournal.com profile] missnickers music posts have inspired me to do something similar. Here are my favorite BTTF music videos from YouTube.com:
Back To The Future Trilogy: Set to "Where The Streets Have No Name" by U2, it includes scenes from all three BTTFs and sound clips as well. Very well made, and a great song.
Back To The Future Tribute: Set to "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News, this is so far the only one I've seen that actually uses a BTTF song. Another well-done effort with clips from all three movies.
BTTF Music Video -- I'm Not Okay: Set to "I'm Not Okay" by Chemical Romance, I really like the song on this one. It's clips from all three, focusing on how Marty's been traumatized throughout the trilogy ("Are you okay?" "No!")
BTTF Music Video -- Out of Control: Set to "Out of Control" by Hoobastank, another one I really like the song on. This one's all about BTTF II, focusing on 1985-A and the ending sequence of the movie with the Almanac.
BTTF Music Video -- I Miss You: Set to "I Miss You" by Blink 182, this one grew on me (especially after seeing "Corpse Bride," which put me in the mood for semi-romantic music). This one's a Doc and Clara vid, very nicely done, with cool slow-down effects. And the lyrics for the song are a hoot as well.
The Way It Is: Set to "The Way It Is" by Prodigy, this isn't the typical music video. Prodigy, an electronic music group, did a sort of "cover" of Thriller, and the person set it to the scenes of Marty in the Cafe 80s in Part II. Nice pure scene, and a cool "song."

And now, it is time for me to go, as I'm pretty certain I have work tomorrow. Probably will be boring as all get out, though, can't imagine too many people will be in. (Now watch, there will be a rush.)
