Happy St. Patrick's Day
Mar. 17th, 2006 11:45 pm*Martys sport buttons saying "Kiss Me, I'm Irish"*
*Jennifers oblige, and there is much giggling*
-D: Do you know what I find ironic? Marty and I, both rather blaise in our attitudes toward alcohol--
You call falling down drunk after one shot blaise?
-D: Well, I don't do that all the TIME -- anyway, we're both from hertiages whose major holidays over here celebrate drinking.-
Yeah, I found that somewhat ironic as well. Weird.
-DW: *chasing plot bunnies* Seems you've had a bit of the luck of the Irish -- the plot bunny population is rapidly returning to its normal, chaotic state.-
Heh, well, I discovered Simply Potterific has a website, and I ended up checking out a bunch of drawings.
-OD: Ah, fanart plot bunnies. The best kind.-
I dunno -- although it's nice to have them, they're always the kind where I WISH I could draw like that.
-OD: *tentacles chatter at me* We're satisfied with whatever you do, Vicky. Besides, people seem to like your style.-
Yeah, but it's not much of one, you have to admit. bleh
-TD: Have you found your get up and go yet?-
Eh, made some more edits to "Boy Genius" chapter 3. Hopefully this plot bunny crop will kick-start me again. Oh, sorry about sort of ditching written!BG this morning, but I like to give it the full morning attention.
-TD: Well, write on it tomorrow and see what happens.-
I am up to where you meet Agatha, so things should flow pretty well. Just want to refresh my memory on the whole thing. . . .
-VD2: Can you promise me that Josie's chapter will be up this weekend at least?-
Sure -- I think I'm just looking for edits at this point. And I really need to get through to the Gypsy part, though the plot bunnies seem to be helping there. . . .
-D: Like I said, I have her on call.-
And I appreciate that.
-VD: I suppose you know about the "V.D." edits, so *pokepoke*-
I know, I know. . . .
As I was finishing reading up the sporkfic from yesterday and playing Nanaca Crash!!!, I had a short Sims session. I moved Joe Statler into the neighborhood and built his house. He profitted greatly from a motherlode:

See, a pond! Looks like a nice lot, huh?
-D: Very nice.-
Closer shots of the house:

This actually looks like a real HOUSE to me. I actually experimented with flooring styles and such. I also used some new styles in OFB -- windows and counters, for example. He also has a garage, but no car as of yet. Reasons:
-->He needs money to buy and decorate Statler Motors
-->Patch to fix that nasty "visit a lot with a car" bug isn't out yet -- though it seems to only apply to owned community lots that you save and exit from, hmmmm. . . .
He hasn't gotten as far as getting to start his home car dealership though. Here's some pictures of Joe Statler in action (Fortune Sim, LTW: Become Business Tycoon, Outgoing, Playful, Nice)

Jamming on the guitar. Or, more accurately, abusing the heck out of the guitar.

Practicing his Charisma for sales pitches. This is where I saved.
-M: You seem to like building a lot.-
It's fun, actually. I love my Simmies, but the architecture parts of Sims 2 intrigue me as well. :)
Well, off to find my get up and go -- or, failing that, find some fic to privately spork with you guys.
-M2: I'm up for that.-
-J: Me too. Fanfiction.net back up?-
Yup. Let's go.
