First OfB Business -- Go Me
Mar. 24th, 2006 11:30 pmIt was a return to Joe Statler's place today in Hill Valley. Now that the game's appropriately patched, I figured he could purchase Statler Motors. Also a car of his own.

First, though, it was time for the welcome wagon! And an electic mix it was -- Sally Baines, Steven Strickland, and Christy Stratton (Clara's work friend).

Joe and Sally immediately took to each other, which was nice.

In fact, I had Joe check Sally out -- mutual bolt of attraction. Interesting.

Christy spent the entire visit hogging Joe's guitar. And Strickland?
Strickland proved to be extremely childish.

Joe retaliated in kind, though (at my direction). I can't wait to get Biff and Strickland together now, I could probably start an all-out war.

Weird moment of the day -- since when is the water outside moppable? Guess it's for the best, I hate weeds.

The matchmaker wandered onto the lot during the visit -- Joe briely greeted her as well.

Around 2, everyone was finally sent away, and Joe enjoyed a TV lunch.

And then -- it was off to the computer to purchase Statler Motors! Here's Joe's proud copy of the deed. :)

I motherloded him, then sent him to his new lot to start building. I ended up having to motherlode again, but I think the final result was worth it. Everyone, Statler Motors.

There's five cars on the outside lot currently -- two cheap smoogos, an averagely-priced pickup, an averagely-priced minivan, and an averagely priced sedan.

Inside, I have an expensive sports car, then some magazine racks, an electronics kiosk, and a photobooth.
Joe's first customers were townies Amin Sims and Sandy Bruty, and -- oh no, Strickland! Joe tried to bury the hatchet while the townies browsed, but Strickland was having none of it.

So Joe went around convincing Amin and Sandy to buy the cheap Smoogos. Which they did -- score.

Don't ask me how they fit the cars into such little bags. After doing some restocking, Joe rang up his customers.

Display that first simoleon proudly, Joe -- you've earned it! (Mostly.)

At 10, it was time to go back home. Joe savored a pot of mac and cheese, then stocked and fed his fish. Joe may be a flashy car salesman, but he still likes the homey things.

He also called up Sandy Bruty, who he felt a bit of a spark with, and had a nice long conversation. I believe he's on the verge of making a friend. :)

And then, it was bedtime. Nighty night Joe.
-M: *snrrk* Strickland throwing water balloons?-
-VuM: You definitely have to get Strickland and Biff together.-
-VM: Or better yet, Strickland and Buford.-
Hehehe, I know. :p Fireworks galore, I'm sure.
-D: I see that he was able to get home all right. Shall we assume DocBots shall be soon to follow?-
*salute* I'll do my best. And just think, I won't have to motherlode, what with Emmett Von Braun's insane wealth. This is gonna be fun!
Did a little fan fic fiddling. The day belonged to OckDoc, though -- the Puppet Pals are inked in, and I'll be coloring in Marty and Jennifer shortly. Kind of messed up on Jennifer, though.
-OD: *tentacles squee* It's art. We're pleased.-
Hehe, glad to hear it.
-VuM: How come Jennifer and I are so small?-
You ARE shorter than Doc. . . .
-AJ: Aren't the puppet pals all the same size though?-
Yeah, but I'm used to drawing you guys smaller.
-VD: I think they look more like that other puppet parody site -- Jerry the Frog Productions?-
*studies* They do, kinda. I like calling them puppet pals, though.
-TD: How progresses work on "Boy Genius?"-
You've met Agatha and are going to meet the Circus of Adventure. I'm currently thinking up ways to introduce Zeetha to you guys.
-H: That'll be fun, huh?-
She's a nice girl, really. A tough girl, but nice. I think you'll get on. And I think I've got a funny Jager scene too.
-TD: *dripping sarcasm* Oh, lovely.-
Well, funny for me the fanfic author. And hopefully the readers too.
-VD2: Most of your readers seem to share your sense of humor. It's a fair extrapolation to make. Doesn't mean WE have to like it, though.-
Hehehe. It's not REALLY Doc-torture, honest.
-DW: She's telling the truth -- I've found the plot bunny, and it is rather amusing.-
-TD: O.O Who's side are you on?!-
-DW: I have to make priorities -- and she keeps me fed.-
Damn straight.
And now, to putz around until I go to bed at 2, because I know me far too well to get to bed early.
-VD: Putz around with fan fiction at least.-
I'll try.
