crossover_chick | A New Month

For those of you who were wondering, the catfight with Alice was quickly resolved with a minimum of bloodshed. Specifically, Doc --
-TD: Has a Sparkvoice, no matter how hard he tries to deny it.-
-D: I was not Sparking, I was yelling.-
-H: Threatening to turn Richard into a mechanical poodle if they didn't calm down? Sweetheart, that's Sparking.-
-D: *muttergrumble*-
-TD: Come on, that was BEAUTIFUL. I couldn't have done better myself. Gilgamesh would have been proud. He's going to be sorry he missed this.-
Anyway, after Doc finished scaring the shit out of all of us with his own psychotic take on the Hatter, he had Gypsy come in and talk to Alice about the jealousy. Though it was kind of awkward, given that Gypsy had ALSO dressed up like Alice. Granted, she was supposed to be a book!Alice, but her red hair naturally makes her look more like the McGee version. After that, there was only a very minor incident when TeenDoc was caught fiddling with the croquet mallet, and Alice quickly forgave him when he showed her how he had improved it.
-TD: Well, automatic dispense is much nicer than searching in invisible pockets for balls.-
Yup. We all ended up having a good time in the end.
-VD: Richard's really not that bad. He's still awful for doing that stuff to Dormy and March, but he seems sincere in his repentance.-
Yeah, he's definitely sorry. I don't think NuttyIsa would draw him like she does if she thought he was completely beyond redemption. (Um, at least, I hope not. We'll see what happens when this fanfic she's writing gets properly translated.)
Anyway, first of the month! Let me make some vows that will probably get broken, but I will do my best to see them through:

I'm sorry, but I'm just not sure if I want to do it this year. I don't really have a fire for it, and I kind of want to concentrate on getting a bit more of my fan fiction backlog done. However, I am willing to consider it, if only because of the faint hope it might spur me into writing more on everything. Let's see if I can get on the site long enough to retrieve my password first. I'm pulling for you and yours though, Moose!
-OD: I agree with getting rid of the backlog -- specifically, getting the sprites over and done with.-
Yeah, I might end up posting just the Doc sprites, honestly.

-TD: I absolve all responsiblity for a steam-powered tea table. I don't even like tea. I've heard too many dirty comments about the cozies.-
Okay, confusing half the audience reading this: done. Let's move onto Sims.

Otto and Rosie today -- after the mess yesterday, I wanted a relatively quiet house. Otto and Rosie set about satisfying basic needs and talking about the upcoming nupitals. "Do we have enough people to invite?"

Before Otto headed to work, Rosie jammed while Otto made toy robots.

Rosie spent her day alone learning some new skills -- Mechanical and Body for her job. Tried some Yoga, which went over pretty well. :)

Speaking of which, I had a major brainfart moment today -- when her carpool didn't show up in the morning, I panicked and thought I might have some sort of bug. It wasn't until I got the message as Otto came home that I finally read her hours properly. *smackhead* She works NIGHTS, you doofus.
Rosie also got in a nice bath and had chili con carne. She tried to keep up her manners while eating --

But sometimes, you just gotta shovel food up your nose. (Seriously, watch sims when they do this -- the fork misses the mouth completely.)

Otto came home with some money and a friend -- Hatter Tea Party! I'd been having an idle daydream of Hatter crashing their wedding, so this was a pleasant surprise. I promptly set about making friends. The first conversation didn't go so well, but I managed to get things back on track with a few jokes.

"Well, it's always six o'clock at our house, time for tea you see. . . ."

They didn't make proper friends by the time Rosie left for work, but I think he'll come if he's invited. :)

Otto spent the evening with a steak and his telescope.

Really a rather quiet day, due to their different shifts. Otto went to bed around midnight, and Rosie immediately followed him when she got home. Next time I play, they'll wed.
-RPD: At least the computer didn't crash. Did you do anything in Eureka?-
Started the Eureka version of Twin Pines Mall. I've decided not to be strictly canonical -- the Eureka versions will look like their Hill Valley counterparts, but may not have the exact same stores or decorations. Twin Pines Mall isn't done yet, but I did get the exterior and a couple bits finished:

Exterior -- you could blind someone with that roof! I also put an awning just because I rarely use them.

Interiors -- we have a very small pet shop (I had to use a few pet decorations), the bathrooms, and the beginnings of a clothing store. There will also be a grocery, then I have two unused bits for anything else.
-RPD: Good. Though I thought you were designing characters. . . .-
I want the weekend for that -- it's BTTF anyway, and I want to have the extra time.
-RPD: Ahh, yes.
