Inventing Stuff

1955 -- Although the library scene from yesterday could be seen as a bit of a bleedover, this is generally thought of as a canon empty day. All we really know is that Doc must use the time to build the giant vacuum-tube version of the time circuit microchip. In my fandom, this is also the day Doc reads the letter from Marty.
-D: Reading the BTTF comics?-
Yeah -- I watched my official TAS tape over dinner. It's such a stupid little show, but I like it anyway. And hey, it gave Bill Nye his break, so it can't be all bad.
-D: I suppose not.-
-DW: Does it help with "Marty In Wonderland?" You said you imagined that as a TAS-universe story.-
Roughly, yeah. And yes, it does -- especially since I discovered something while watching the "Dickens of a Christmas" episode.
-VD: Wait a minute, you get annoyed if people mention Christmas before Thanksgiving.-
Well, it was a bit of shock to hear "Where are you Christmas" on the radio today. . . . I just didn't feel like fast-forwarding. But anyway, it's set in early Victorian times (naturally), and Doc wears a top hat in the episode as part of the period clothing.
A PURPLE top hat.
-WRM: *laugh* Really?-
Yup. It's a lighter purple than I imagine, but yes, it's still purple. Had to pause and snicker over that for a bit.
-RPD: Hope that didn't interfere with your Sims-playing too much. You promised me a Eureka update.-
Yup, I've started -- killed off Calvin this morning. And let me tell you, I damn near cried. He and Marty were having such a good time. . . .
-M: At least I know Doc will take good care of plant-me.-
-VD2: Where are you updating on this, anyway? Are you making another LJ?-
I might -- eurekasims sound good?
-VD2: Fine, though people will probably confuse it with the TV series.-
Which is why the first line of that bio would be WARNING: THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE SCI-FI CHANNEL SERIES EUREKA. I may have gotten the name from there, but the actual storyline is way different.
-RPD: So we've heard. Have you moved in anyone else yet?-
Just Allison Jones. The actual stars, Emma Heterobach and Emmett Brown, will be moved in either this weekend or next Monday. I'm planning on Monday being the official update day for Eureka, like Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays are with
revison_doc. He has an update too today -- I visited Gypsy's parents, who were very happy about the engagement.
-D: More than I can say for my version. . . .-
It's more interesting that way. Considering SimYou is friendly with the family in general, it makes more sense for their Sims to be more accepting.
-TD: At least I don't have in-law problems with my version of Clara. Still editing that chapter of mine?-
Yeah, I got in some stuff yesterday, luckily. And I can stay up a bit later tonight without guilt.
-HD: Oh?-
Yeah -- I'm on the afternoon shift tomorrow, my boss is teaching me how to close. Dunno if this means an hours shift, but hey -- means I get to sleep in a bit on a work day.
-D: I'd set your alarm clock anyway, you don't want to sleep in too late.-
I won't, I won't. Anyway, I'd better go get writing -- wittered away the afternoon.
-DW: *deadpan* We noticed.-
Yeah. Oh, by the way, HatterDoc?
-HD: Yes?-
You ought to watch what you say. *ZOOM*
-HD: O_O-
-TD: *patpat* Welcome to the club.-
-RPD: The advantages of being a ghost. . . .-
