On and Off Productivity

crossover_chickDidn't get a whole lot done on Saturday, but today I managed to get a bunch typed up in "Boy Genius." I've also got an idea for a new drabbles88 -- NonTrilogy, no less.
-D: Good, but please give us the "Time Mix-Up" page first.-
I will -- though still no ideas for a title?
-DW: Nothing. Sorry.-
Eh, it's okay. At least this one has a "holder" title.
-TD: Glad you got something done on "Boy Genius." What about the editing though?-
"Snow White" on the GG FanFic group agreed to beta for me, so I sent her the text of Chapter 9. I was kind of hoping she would, she was the one who inspired me to alter Chapter 8 a little.
-H: Heh. I like the new dialogue you gave me.-
Yeah, me too. She had a point that the story's getting a bit "Bob was there too"-ish. At least things will be taking a drastic turn from canon shortly. And the sequel will be much more original content -- Gil and Agatha will appear, but in smaller roles.
-VDM: I can't believe you already have a sequel.-
Just goes to show how much I like mixing these two series together.

revison_doc and eurekasims updates. Over in revison_doc, Arazel Morte (Holly's sister-in-law) has gotten hitched to her lover Carla, the Morte twins have gotten into private school, and the McFly parents have spent a quiet day catching up with the baking and their friends. In eurekasims, Allison Jones has made her first entry, and the Eureka Daily News has reported on the Smiths moving in.
-RPD: Are you really pairing up Cyd Roseland with Allison? I thought that would have been against your challenge rules.-
Technically -- but there's two factors that, to me at least, make it okay:
-->Cyd came with the Pets expansion -- I didn't make him.
-->Cyd's already broken one rule by living downtown in Mad Hill Valley -- the Villagers have to start out in Eureka.
So I'm calling him a "playable townie," much like I treat the Sapsons. Besides, he's a sweetie -- he keeps admiring people. :)
-RPD: Heh, I see. Any kids?-
Survey says no -- I flipped the coin, and it came up heads. Allison's sterile. I may let them adopt, but right now it's looking like pets will be their kids (I'm merging the Critturs with Cyd later).
-VD2: You're having fun with this, aren't you?-
Well, it's interesting! Though I still have to print up the rules of the challenge for myself. Note to self, see about picking up paper and printer ink soon.
-VD: *poke* "V.D." chapter?-
-OD: And anything new on the fanart front?-
*looks back at sketch* Dare me to try and make a full pic out of the Thanksgiving sketch?
-OD: If you think you can pull it off.-
Heh, might be interesting. . . . But yeah, I'll get to work on the chapter posthaste. Give "Absolute Power" another lookover too. I keep meaning to watch that bit with Biff, but then I get distracted.

-MHG: Do you think it'll look anything like the Queen of Hearts's palace?-
-HD: That's what I want to see.-
-VM: Hey, I've been wondering -- why is it the Queen of Hearts? What happened to the royalty of the other suits?-
-HD: Well, from what I can understand, there was a great game of War between the red suits and the black, and the red suits won. And since it was the King of Hearts who decided the game, he was allowed to be king of the Card Kingdom of Wonderland. The royalty of the other suits form the Parliment.-
-VD2: . . . That sounds logical. Are you feeling all right?-
-WRM: It's not THAT logical -- the King and Queen of Hearts seem to favor the Chess Kingdom's way of doing everything backwards. They always do the opposite of what Parliment recommends. We're just lucky the other suits can get away with pardoning those who are to be beheaded.-
-HD: *grumble* I'm just glad they have the sense to let you commit the crime first before throwing you in jail, even if it is sentence before verdict.-
Bitter about your messenger days, I take it?
-HD: *dunking his pocketwatch in his teacup* He can't even get my name right! I keep telling him it's HattER, not HattA! And don't get me started on how he prounces "Emmett." Damn, will this watch ever be right?!-
-MHG: Here, let me try the butter!-
-HD: You and your butter. The butter never works.-
-MHG: Mustard then?-
-HD: MUSTARD?! How dare you, sir!-
-DJ: Treacle?-
-HD: I doubt that would help, unless treacle is also backwards in Wonderland. But then you'd have to call it elcaert.-
-D: You have wound it, right?-

-D: *smug grin*-
-HD: *to TeenDoc* Want to work on a self-winding watch?-
-TD: Sure! You might want to waterproof it too. Or, more accurately, teaproof it. It's probably all rusted.-
