Must at least try to finish that other drabbles88 before bed -- I really have to post the other one I finished. . . .
*notices lights outside* What the hell? *goes to window to see the Docs and Victor outside with the floodlights on, along with --* DR. SCHLOCK?
*yells out window* What are you guys doing out there?
-D: *calls back* We're placing an order for some inflatable technology!-
Wha? What for?
-TD: This pool is far too drab!-
-HD: Yes, its fun potential has barely been met.-
. . . *sniggers*
-VD: What's funny?-
Nothing, I just happen to be trying my hand at making a water park in the Sims.
-RPD: *intrigued, floats up and into the room* Oh? How's it coming?-
All right so far. I can't do anything cool like I'm sure you're doing, but I've got a bunch of pools for fun stuff. See for yourself:

The building will become the bathroom/showers and a small restaurant. Outside is the kiddie pool (the small square), the main pool (the big rounded) and the "looks cool" pool (the arrow). There are also hot tubs, and I may add swings.
-RPD: Not too shabby. What neighborhood?-
Strangetown -- they've got the long summer, so it makes sense for them to have the first go. I might do a variation for at least Eureka. What are you guys doing with yours?
-RPD: Depends on what kind of slides Dr. Schlock can make. He's being surprisingly helpful.-
Probably because no one in this group has threatened to kill him. Er, I hope.
-RPD: *laugh* No, TeenDoc's fascinated by all his inflatable technology and wants to help with the planning. We're keeping him in check.-
Good.
-DW: RPD! We're getting the design options ready!-
-RPD: On my way! We can trust you to hold down fort, right?-
*salutes* I shall be my usual charming self.
-RPD: *rolls eyes, floats back to the group*-
I can't WAIT to see the results of this one. . . .
I also can't wait to see the results of this meme, taken from
martyfan:
List twelve characters without looking at the questions. Then answer the questions by replacing the corresponding number with the character.
1. Doc Brown (BTTF)
2. Gilgamesh Wulfenbach (Girl Genius)
3. Victor Van Dort (Corpse Bride)
4. The Mad Hatter (American McGee's Alice)
5. Lupin Madblood (Narbonic)
6. Neville Longbottom (Harry Potter)
7. Marty McFly (BTTF)
8. Agatha Heterodyne (Girl Genius)
9. Alice Liddell (American McGee's Alice)
10. Clara Clayton (BTTF)
11. Torg (Sluggy Freelance)
12. Stanley Ipkiss (The Mask movie)
1. Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11?
Neville or Torg? Neville wins hands-down -- Torg isn't dumb, but he's definitely not teacher material. Besides, I've seen fan theories that have Neville teaching at Hogwarts once the series is over.
2. Do you think 4 is hot? How hot?
The Mad Hatter? Hell yeah. I don't care that that version of him is mostly clockwork -- intelligent men all the way.
3. 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Stanley sends Agatha on a mission? I suppose he'd send her to study the Mask and keep it safe. I'd imagine it succeed -- though I do wonder what would happen if Agatha wore the Mask. . . . I suspect she'd rebuild an entire town from the ground up.
4. What is or would be 9's favorite book?
Alice? Heh, the "Alice In Wonderland" books, of course. She's seen with copies in the beginning of the game.
5. Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
Gil to swear fealty to Neville? Not really. Neville would likely swear to Gil -- Gil's the son of a baron, and knows politics better than Neville.
6. For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should s/he share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
Lupin share with either Alice or Clara. Hmmm, that's a tough one. I think he'd pick Clara because of her astronomy bent. Though rooming with Alice wouldn't be a problem -- her violent tendencies would be nothing new to a Mad.
7. 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Gil, Marty, and Stanley. I say they hit Lou's Diner in Hill Valley and discuss how very strange their lives are. (Gil's a mad scientist and the only heir of the ruler of the free world; Marty's a teenage time traveler; Stanley has the magical Mask.)
8. 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
VICTOR challenge CLARA?! *snort* Never would happen! Victor's too much of a gentleman and way too shy. If they did end up fighting, I suspect Clara would be sporting fork wounds and Victor's shins would hurt for days.
9. If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would s/he get it back?
Doc "borrows" something from Agatha. Well, her most precious possession would probably be Dingbot Prime. And she wouldn't have to do much -- Prime seems to be a master at escaping danger and getting back to his mommy. (He recently reappeared in the comic -- the last we saw of him, he was fleeing the giant projector stick back in Sturmhalten. We're in Mechanicsburg now -- not too far away, but pretty far for a little clockwork robot!)
10. Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
Marty and Stanley? Hmmm. . . . Marty wants to be a famous, rich rock star, Stanley GOT Tina. . . . Rocking The Loki Way, I dunno. . . .
11. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
The Mad Hatter and Doc? Well, I've already combined them into one character for my BTTF Wonderland. However, for the American McGee version -- Doc's visiting Victorian England to get something for Clara's birthday, and ends up accidentally entering the twisted Wonderland. To get out and escape the Red Queen, he needs the help of the Mad Hatter. I imagine this would be a redemption story for Hatter, who's a villain in the game. . . .
12. If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Marty? The muse versions and I get along okay. I suspect I'd weird out a purely-Trilogy Marty. Especially if I insisted he watch the DVDs with me. I'd also constantly be asking where Doc was.
13. If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Victor? I'd ask him to play piano for me. He's really good, and I'd like to see his take on "Remains of the Day."
14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11?
Torg? Not to my knowledge. Anybody out there like Sluggy Freelance?
15. If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
Gil choose between the Mad Hatter and Lupin Madblood. Talk about a Hobson's choice, they're both evil. I think he'd choose Lupin, though -- Lupin DID save his supercomputer Lovelace from total destruction through backups. Hatter, on the other hand, carved up March and Dormy. *shudder*
16. What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
Clara? Hmmm. Schoolteacher puns are abounding in my mind. . . . Oh, hey, maybe a variation on "I believe you've underestimated me, mister."
17. If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
Agatha Heterodyne? Too bad we have no idea what her humming music sounds like. . . . Something with a science theme, to be sure. I can't think of any specific songs I associate with her.
18. 1, 6 and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Doc vs Neville vs Stanley. Depends on if Stanley's wearing the Mask or not. Masked!Stanley would definitely win -- cartoon powers trump all. Without the Mask, I think Doc would get it -- they're all nice guys, but Doc's morality can be a bit more flexible.
19. What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
Gil on Clara? "Want a ride in my incredible falling machine?" or "Ever wanted to see the stars REALLY up close?"
20. What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
This one's easy -- Lupin Madblood is a Mad Scientist. He'd be arrested for trying to take over the world. (Hell, according to an early strip, he nearly succeeded twice!)
21. What is 6's secret?
Neville? For a long time, his secret was that his parents are insane due to prolonged torture and in St. Mungos. He also might have been the Chosen One if Voldemort had done things differently, but he doesn't actually know that.
22. If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Torg vs Alice? Depends on the destination. Any place with beer or the chance of seeing sexy women, Torg. In general, though, I'd go with Alice. Probably could distract Torg, come to think of it.
23. 3 and 7 tell conflicting versions of events. Which is more reliable?
Victor or Marty? Well, they've both lied in their movies. However, Marty's lies were generally more of "I can't tell the truth because it'll screw up the future," while Victor just wanted to get away from Emily. I'd give the advantage to Marty. Sorry Victor.
24. "1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4’s sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that 11 is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12, in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5, they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest." What title would you give this fic? Name three people on your friends list who might read it. Name one person who should write it?
Doc and Alice team up to save the world from The Mad Hatter! Torg is the spy for Hatter, Hatter has kidnapped Stanley. Lupin gives them wise advice to seek out Victor.
Okay, I can see Alice having to save the world from Hatter, since that's basically what she does in the Mad Hatter boss fight, but the rest -- pure crackfic! Torg would be the most incomptent spy ever (though if he has his magic talking sword powered by innocent blood, he'll be useful in combat), and Hatter would have to contend with Milo if he takes Stanley. And Lupin telling them to seek out Victor? What, is a fork in the gears the best way to defeat Hatter? *pause* Wait, that could actually work.
Anyway, title: It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Wonderland
Three people who'd read:
gigs_83 (she reads EVERYTHING, I write),
martyfan (probably just to humor me), and
anonymoose_au (same as Ael).
Who should write it: Well, I'm probably the only one I know of familiar enough with all the fanfictions crossed over, so me, yeah.
25. If you had to walk home through a bad neighbourhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?
Marty or Agatha. Sorry, Marty, Agatha gets this one because of her love of death rays. Though Marty isn't bad with his fists, I'd prefer to get rid of bad people from as far away as possible.
Yeeps, look at the time! I'd better get to bed. Why must memes take so long?
