It All Begins
Oct. 25th, 2008 10:04 pmSo have a screenshot showing our favorite teen couple right before their world goes totally screwy:

-M+J: *kissu*-
Yeah, I like you two.
Watched Part II today, which was fun. Ahh, sweet Backie goodness.
-OD: We were kind of hoping it would inspire you to write.-
I know, I've got the documents open now. I'm thinking I'll probably update "The Gift and the Curse" tomorrow, since that's a Part II story.
-OD: *grin* Sounds about right.-
-TD: Then me, I hope.-
Then you, yes. Then VampDoc again.
-VD2: I, of course, am quite well served by "Cinder-Marty."-
Good, glad to hear it.
-VD: Good thing you've been working on it pretty steadily too.-
I know. I like it. I think I've got a soft spot for fractured fairy tales of this nature.
-HD: *gringrin*-
-D: All well and good, but you do have two stories completed and awaiting posting, you know.-
This is true. My usual beta reader's taking some time off, but once she's back maybe I'll start e-mailing her again.
-DW: Would be a good idea, I think. I'm sure our Phoenix counterpart would like to have his story posted.-
Indeed. Of course, "Corpse Mask" is a little trickier. Who on my friendslist has watched either film? Anybody watch both, like me?
-TTV: *puppy dog eyes* Someone please say yes.-
Could you really resist that face?
-TD: They can if they don't know what he looks like.-
-TTV: Please imagine I'm adorable, then.-
*ruffles his hair* You ARE adorable.
-TTV: *blush*-
Anyway, Rift is still ded from October for the most part (another hiatus announced!), but the Nexus is doing good. Doc got himself a possible LOLpumpkin from a pumpkin patch.
-RPD: Possible?-
Well, you can't really tell until you carve it. It could be normal.
-RPD: Victoria, please. We all know the pumpkin's going to talk.-
You know me too well.
-Docs: *grin*-
Anyway, Clockwork's also got some threading with Metody in the birthday party thread going on, so let me attend to that. :)

Date: 2008-10-26 01:54 pm (UTC)Corpse Bride was pretty awesome. I kind of felt like it was more Danny's movie than Tim's--the vision of the afterlife as a swingin', colorful juke joint as opposed to the tight-laced, nearly-monochrome Victorian caricature of the living world was definitely in line with the "Dead Man's Party" aesthetic of vintage Oingo Boingo, and I kept hearing little musical riffs from Oingo Boingo songs in the soundtrack. Bonejangles even reminded me of Mr. Satan from Forbidden Zone.
