crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (feeling sparky/creative)

December 18:
“No.”
“Oh, come on, Victor.”
“I said no, and I mean no.”
“Please?”
“I’m not backing down on this. I’ll back down on almost anything else, but not on this.”
“But it would be so funny! And mean so much to Dee and any of the other kids that come around here.”
“I said no!”
“Victor, come on!”
“Darn it, Lucy, take no for an answer! Just this once!”
“But--”
“I don’t care if we’re the same size, I AM NOT DRESSING UP IN JACK SKELLINGTON’S SANTA OUTFIT!”

. . . *gets the rope*
-Rift!Victor: Oh for -- *flees*-
-TTV: *also flees*-
Get back here! *chases*
-MF: So, how many people do you think are actually going to even get the joke here?-
-DW: I don't know, but on her friendslist? Not many, I think.-

So! There's going to be a fancy dress party in the Rift shortly. A Christmas Eve ball, commemorating a peace between angel and demon. Yayz. Victor won't be going, as he'll either be pre-Rift or very, very new, but I do believe Doc should attend and have some fun. The problem?
What the hell do I have him wear?
-D: Ah yes, the age-old formal problem.-
Yeah, it doesn't help that you're very explicitly a "casual" dresser. Bright Hawaiian shirts and cargo pants add to your charm, but they're not exactly proper dress for a fancy party. The most formal outfits we see you in in the Trilogy are in Part III, and they're Old Western outfits! Granted, getting Clockwork in the Train outfit would get my squee on, but. . . .
-VD: To be fair, Edna could probably do it.-
Yeah, but I'm trying to hang onto some thread of logic here. I did find this interesting-looking tux here:
Al's Formal Wear -- the Vaquero
Yes, there are specifically-Western tuxes. But doesn't the white jacket on that one look kind of like a lab coat?
-VD2: *examines* Hmm. A little, yes.-
-OD: I don't think I'd mind wearing that. *tentacles chitter*-
-HD: He'll need a top hat, though, not a Western hat.-
LoL, yeah, I think that's obvious.
-RPD: And Clockwork being Clockwork, he might want a longer jacket. For the legs.-
Yeah, I know. Even among his own kind, he wants to cover up. He's got a neurosis about those gears.
-TD: Yeah, but remember how he got them.-
. . . Point.
So yeah, I might just go with that and some nice vest and tie action. Get Doc out and about again. I'm bored just sitting on my ass.
-RPD: Your own fault. Though wondering if your net's going to be pulled out from under you doesn't help, I admit.-
Yeah, I know, I know. Rift!Victor's presence isn't helping either. Reminds me, I ought to post his storylines. . . .
