Yesterday It Was Lets Plays

crossover_chickToday, it was TV Tropes. I'm currently finishing off the "Hilarious in Hindsight" page.
-VD: *facepalm*-
No worries, I'm doing something creative too! Fairy tales recently came up on the Girl Genius message board (don't recall why at the moment, though it probably had something to do with the "Cinderella" spoof), and I'd recently reread that Cindy spoof. Also a few bits and pieces of "The Ordinary Princess." That book needs more love, incidentally, it's a very nice little story.
-TD: So, more Corpsified or Futurified Classics?-
In a sense -- "The Tale" is going strong in my head now. I'm writing up an actual summary for the thing now, instead of just lists. I still haven't worked out everything, but the first part of the story is pretty well covered, so. . . .
-D: That has to be one of the strangest crossovers you've ever come up with.-
I suppose that's my cue to say, "Oh yeah, what about [insert other wacky idea here]," but this fic features the MST3K crew as the Rapunzel cast. Yeah. Strangest.
-HD: *snork* What about the others?-
Well, I've got the mains pretty much plotted out, and the cast of Puss In Boots is settled -- it's the Girl Genius characters -- Krosp as Puss, Agatha as the Marchioness of Carabas, Gil as the Baronet, Klaus as the Baron, and The Other as the Ogre. "Puss In Boots" happens right after the "Sleeping Beauty" bit with Jennifer -- it's after that that I start getting a little lost. I know roughly who I want them to meet and what happens, I'm just still deciding on the order and who to cast in a couple of the fairy tales. The end sequence is pretty much settled, though.
-MHG: It's just all those squishy bits in-between that are giving you trouble.-
Exactly. I'm not worrying too much about it, though. This is really a cracky fun project -- the kind that happens when I read too many webcomics. (Since the basic idea -- fairy tale characters teaming up on a quest and getting involved in other fairy tales -- comes from No Rest For The Wicked, which is good but doesn't update as often as I'd like.)
-OD: *tentacles chatter* Well, it's writing, which is something we can get behind.-
