Moar Sims! Including A Video This Time!
Mar. 12th, 2011 11:41 pmIt's been a quiet sort of Saturday -- watched the special features for Scott Pilgrim, which were neat. The deleted scenes were cool to see, and I liked the bloopers. (Did you know it took Michael Cera (Scott) THIRTY-THREE tries to get that Amazon box into the garbage can?) There's also feature commentary/trivia track, so I'll be checking one of those out tomorrow.
However, the main excitement of the day was visiting Emmett Victor Liddell again. And as mentioned in the subject title there, I have some video for you regarding him! First things first, though:

Emmett Victor Liddell conquers the term paper! Did I mention his major's Math? It was that or Literature, and the skills needed for Mathematics matched up better with his personality.

Oh screw off, coach. Seriously, what the hell was the reasoning behind these NPCs? (And why are they elders? Wouldn't adults be a little more sensible? Not that we don't have fit seniors, but aren't most personal trainers younger?)

EVL doesn't care about coaches, though. His eye is on a redheaded Infallibly Good witch.

The next day, with some time to kill before finals, he works up the courage and asks her out on a date. This is actually a bit of a first for me -- EVL only made friends with her the other day. Most of my Sims go out with long-established buds and fall in love near-instantly. EVL and Felicia will be my first slow romance. Interesting. . . .

Felicia agrees and meets him at the One-Twenty-Five Cafe for dinner and a little romance. Doesn't it look like she's admiring his derriere from this angle?

Apparently these two like seafood -- lime-seared shrimp for Emmett Victor, salmon for Felicia.
And here's your promised video! This is actually three Sim videos I combined in Windows Movie Maker -- hey, it came with the laptop, and it gives me a chance to put together something more coherent. The first clip is Emmett Victor proposing a toast before dinner arrives, the second is them slow-dancing, and poor EV being my first Sim rejected for a slow-dance kiss, and the third clip is the end of the date, where Felicia just cleared up a rainstorm and Emmett Victor gives her a little charm to remember him by before going home.

Other highlights from the date include -- EVL sharing a bite of his food, causing Felicia to get a crush on him.

Some handholding after the bill is paid, leading to a crush on Emmett Victor's side.

Felicia doing her thing earlier in the date as Emmett Victor listens to a joke from another patron. (Seriously, I love the look of that spell.)

Kicky ball. It's SERIOUS BUSINESS. (I really don't know what that lady's problem was. She reacted to them playing kicky ball like it was the eve of the Apocalypse.)

Felicia REALLY loosens up on the kissing thing. They shared a tender kiss earlier, which I guess whetted her appetite. For the record, she's a Family Sim, an expert in Creativity and Logic and pretty good in Mechanical, and her turn-ons are grey hair and underwear. She and EVL are two-bolters, which works for me.

The date ends as a Dream Date, which leads to flowers. :) Shortly thereafter, EVL aced his second semester finals and became a sophomore. His grade meter is still broken, but I think regular dates with Felicia will help keep me apprised of his progress. ;)
I also came up with an idea for this generational project -- business domination. I happen to like OFB, so I'm going to use the Liddells to try out as many different kinds of businesses as possible. EVL, being a Tinkerer, will probably open a robot shop.
-D: Think you can stick with it?-
We'll see. First I have to complete another cycle on Inkwell Secundus.
And finally for today, Butterfly Boy talks to an Alice about the upcoming "Madness Returns". I'm just happy he gets to interact with an AMA Alice at last. :)
Okay, now to see if he can fill today's
charloft prompt at all. . . .
