crossover_chickYeah, I dreamed about Linkara and myself -- and I did it right before waking up, so I actually remember the dream pretty well! That's a rare enough happening, as you know. So:
We were sitting next to each other on a bus, going on some sort of camping trip -- I think with a bunch of the other Channel Awesome producers, but honestly, I wasn't paying much attention. We made a stop at one point to let a bunch of Insanos on -- Linkara was naturally opposed to this plan a bit, but grudgingly allowed it because it meant Linksano could get on. I scootched over to let the guy sit next to us, but he never actually showed up.
After that, the bus stopped at the first Park N Ride the RIpta bus I always take to CCRI/Providence Place mall stops at on the trip -- only this one had mysterious train tracks running along the edge. Linkara and I got to talking about where they went (I think they were some historical thing) and he got off to read a sign with information about them. I scrambled out after him to tell him that the bus was likely to leave without him and to try and get him back on --
And the bus left without both of us.
Yeah.
Now, since this was a special bus, we couldn't exactly wait around for the next RIpta bus to save us. Linkara tried to get someone on his cell phone for help, but it was dead. I tried mine next -- it wasn't dead, but it was down to one tiny sliver of battery life. (In real life, I've been meaning to charge my phone for ages. . .) This still means mine was useable, so we started calling people. The first lady we called was some foreign woman named Virginia in a call center -- and after trying to decipher her accent, I discovered she wouldn't help us because of some Biblical verse. Which confused both of us to no end.
After that, in a fit of insanity, I tried someone else, apparently got GOD, and he agreed to send some guardian angel dealy down -- whom turned out to be a mouse (in fact, I believe it was intended to be a mouse from Cinderella). So that didn't work. I'd just gotten the brainwave to try RIpta and was looking up how you called a driver on a bus (which was some sort of 1818-not a pound sign number that was apparently supposed to filter out bots?) when I woke up.
So yeah. Linkara and I chatted a couple of times in the dream, but I remember most clearly
a) trying to get him back on the bus before it left
b) talking with him in the bus shelter while we waited for foreign lady about how he'd gained some weight during the time he's been doing Atop The Fourth Wall. I reassured him that he still looked good to me (is it obvious I have a bit of a crush?)
